Conditions and signals were generally good around UK and Brian G3LUW emailed to report good signals on SDR. Bob reported listening to the earlier 20m net when unusually French stations were the strongest. An interesting net, John G7OAI reported on his forthcoming Classic Car event and Bob his Disco Night. Bili mentioned success with tackling his moth infestation! Next w/e Bob will be operating GB0HMG from the Harlow Club for Museums on the Air. 73 to Brian and other listeners.

The major topic was a report on the RI convention. This followed a health and welfare report of some of the group who tested positive to Covid following the convention and one in rehab for a broken hip.
There was much discussion from those who were at the convention pertaining to the ROAR booth in the House Of Friendship regarding the external noise and what improvements can be made for the booth in Melbourne next year. Reaction to and difficulties with the operation of a remotely controlled station from the booth and many concrete remedies for such circumstances at later convention operations.
The AGM was also discussed. Not without some inconsistencies and shortfalls in procedures.
There again much enthusiasm for the fellowship at the booth.
All of them were very glad they were at the booth.
Ed N4EDT close the meeting at 2142Z

Additional Notice from Ed
ROAR members,
While at the international convention, I wore shirts embroidered with the ROAR logo that were produced by Queensboro Shirt Company. The shirts they sell are of very high quality and the embroidery is excellent. Many asked for the information needed to purchase similar shirts.
The embroidery on my shirts consists of two panels, the ROAR logo over the left pocket and my name and callsign on the right side. The name and callsign are in two rows. Listed below is the design number is for the ROAR logo. You will need to set up your Name and callsign using their online tools. They have a screen that will model you embroidered shirt allowing you to judge your chosen color combinations. The ROAR Design logo also works on hats. I currently have both short and long sleeve shirts and a polo shirt embroidered by them.
The Design #227941
Follow the instructions below after logging into the Queensboro Shirt web site
