After “speaking nicely” to the Mag loop, my 10W made it to VK4ZD (59/55) and Vk3KCD (32/32) on 7130. I could not make out G0EGW during his contact with VK4ZD.
On 20m, propagation was poor for me and I could copy Bill VK4ZD (43 and received 55). A trace of Jean-Pierre F4FCW was heard. No contact.
Regards
John (ZL2JPM)

Another interesting net with reports of activities at Rotary clubs including John G7OAI's successful fund raising Car Rally. Brian G3LUW had been listening, 73s to him and other listeners.

The joint IFFR - International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians and ROAR gathering in Pahrump, NV in October was given further promotion. There will be a wide variety of events on the docket.
A time of good Rotary and AR fellowship.

Note from Jean-Pierre F1CFA
I read and was shocked with an extreme sadness at the passing of Doug ZL1BFS.
He was a friend. We exchanged some snaps from our families and information about the virus occurring.
As a ROAR member, he was excellent.
When looking to the past and the number of good friends we let on the road, it's impressive.
Forty years ago, we have lost Martial our child 12 years old and F4FCW Jacques had the same experience.
A young boy, lost, it's terrible. No words can express that. And, when you leave on the edge of the road a good friend, as Doug, nothing can be said or done...He was too far away from Europe for a will... we can just say...
" Dear Doug, you are now silent key and we share with Mrs Birt that extreme sadness.
If we hear in the future tic/tic and tac and more over, looking as a CW signal, we'll realize how much you are missing us Doug.
Go in peace in God my friend "
Jean-Pierre
