From Nicholas G4HCK
I managed, just on Sunday to establish contact with Bill and Vernon so it does look like conditions are moving in the right direction. On Thursday I could hear a Greek station talking to Jean Pierre but I could not hear Jean Pierre.
As I always say lets hope next week is better. There are quite a few sun spots appearing.

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From Bob G3SZF
G3SZF was net control and joined by
G3JJR John
G0EGW Vernon
M1ADK Geoff
G4LXD Bill
Conditions and signals were variable around UK, just condx. Vernon reported on some VK success with the earlier 40m net and said he was preparing a presentation for his Rotary club whilst enjoying his cooked breakfast. Envy all round. Bob mentioned that 24 October is World Polio Day and wondered if the group should do something in recognition. A good gathering covering radio activity, in particular how members first became interested in the hobby, and Rotary matters. Greetings to any listeners.
73s Bob G3SZF
From Noel WD8QHD/VA3
ROAR IPP Ed N4EDT called the meeting to order at 2030Z following the warm up session that covered topics as varied as sourdough starters among other topics.
There were 15 check ins including:-
Dave WN5V
Peter WA6LBY
Howie K2TWL
Joe AF1E
Eddie N7EDD
Nate N8TE
Noel NM5AB
George W9ZSJ
Craig KL7H
Phil N9HWO
Some discussion of MAC vs Windows for ham radio integration and suggestions as to which software works well with MAC computers.
Health and welfare reports on partners of members were given. Alan spoke of the size of the fish he caught in Alaska and Craig offered a photograph of the said fish. As Alan admitted the size of the fish increased as the time elapsed between the capture (and release) and the reporting of the event. The photograph removed all doubt.
Reports on club activities and AR activities were also mentioned in passing.
A reminder of the value of the fellowship of the group was given.
A good time of Rotary and AR fellowship.
