From Nicholas G4HCK
Not a good day today. First Peanut did not wish to play ball. I did have a quick chat with David but then the system went wrong. I duly qsy’d to 20m and found the frequency had qrm. Odd really as it turned out to be a VK station slightly higher. Just as I was about to switch off I found Bill on 292 and had a quick word.
Anyway I have to travel to London so I am off.

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694

G3SZF Bob was net control and joined by
G3JJR John
G7OAI John
G4LXD Bill

Conditions and signals were reasonable around UK.
Vernon reported little success on the earlier HF Nets but is preparing a Ham Radio demo for his fellow Rotarians.
Tony Hancock remarks expected! Joiners to his demo QSO welcome.
An Interesting discussion covering Radio interference and Rotary activities with the net closing early for Remembrance Sunday services. Greetings to Brian G3LUW and other listeners.

Some interesting show and tell by Craig KL7H of machine gun range action shots and ARRL Newsletter article re Brazilian hams helping in an emergency situation.
The meeting was somewhat shorter thn usual as some check ins were called away and others had not made the time change.
A good meeting with good fellowship and celebration of the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.
