From Nicholas G4HCK
What a disaster 20m was today. There was a contest in full swing. I listened to 14.294 for 2 or 3 minutes and all was quiet. I put out a cq and that opened the door. As soon as I let go the PTT a contester started calling CQ contest. When no one answered he vanished. You could suggest it was the skip changing but in this case I just think it was an over enthusiastic amateur wanting points and what do points mean – prizes.
Anyway I gave a couple more calls out and yes the contesters had gone but no sign of any ROAR members arrived via my ear phones so I decided another cup of coffee was required and retired to the kitchen.

Conditions and signals were reasonable around UK. Vernon reported little 40/20m activity and reminded us about the UK/VK/ZL ZOOM meeting on 29 June. Otherwise an interesting net covering about old cars, Rotary and radio activities.
