Brian G3LUW had emailed that he is now QRT. hopefully temporarily until in his new QTH. Conditions and signals were again poor with some members relying on SDRs. Vernon checked in to let us know that a UK/VK/ZL ZOOM meeting would be held on 29 June - something to look forward to. Otherwise a chat about Rotary and radio activities, with Bob noting his taking part with Museums on the Air from the Harlow Sadio club with GB0HMG.

0700z - 0730z Tuesday June 22nd EUR 20m net on 14,294 +/- 2KHz

Nil Heard from Europe
However I had a 30 minute QSO into Washington instead.
From Nicholas G4HCK
What a disaster 20m was today. There was a contest in full swing. I listened to 14.294 for 2 or 3 minutes and all was quiet. I put out a cq and that opened the door. As soon as I let go the PTT a contester started calling CQ contest. When no one answered he vanished. You could suggest it was the skip changing but in this case I just think it was an over enthusiastic amateur wanting points and what do points mean – prizes.
Anyway I gave a couple more calls out and yes the contesters had gone but no sign of any ROAR members arrived via my ear phones so I decided another cup of coffee was required and retired to the kitchen.
