Conditions and signals were reasonable around UK. Vernon reported little 40/20m activity. It was good to have Malcolm join briefly, not too strong but always good to hear from him. Generally a good net covering many Rotary and radio activities. Some sad post-net news, Tommy G2FUU had died, not long after his 100th birthday. Tommy, a long standing Rotarian and ROAR member will be greatly missed, RIP Tommy.

There were many reports on amateur radio activities - field day events' the RAC event to celebrate Canada Day (July 1) plus the original 13 colonies contest. There were a variety of Rotary club meeting formats reported. Good wishes were extended to the USA on its muted celebrations of Independence Day. A grand time of Rotary and ham radio fellowship was enjoyed by all of us

Well I can now update my Sundays email and the answer is “nothing is happening”
However I understand the Sun is spring cleaning with a lot of Solar winds which is impacting upon the propagation.

From Jean-Pierre F1CFA
The Roar meeting was a half success....
I got a strong contact with Bill VK4ZD : At the beginning he was 42, then I gave him 58 and he gave me 54 or more !
At the same time, G0EGW was 41 to me and he received me 22. We have heard G4HCK calling and perhaps Malcolm PA3AHC. No news from F4FCW or F1FBL.
This was the result of a strong QSB. the use a cubical quad (Bill) and a delta loop (Jean-Pierre). I have a 100W transceiver and Bill has a more powerful rig.
Thanks a lot for reporting
Jean-Pierre F1CFA
