From Nicholas G4HCK
I was very hopeful we would have a good 20 net today. The SFI was 90 and the K factor 1 everything was in our favour. However was there some solar winds in the background. I gave several calls out and nothing. I did find myself sandwiched between two stations but the frequency was reasonably clear here in the UK. Let’s hope Tuesday brings some better results.

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From Bob G3SZF
G3SZF was net control and joined by
G3JJR John
M1ADK Geoff
G0EGW Vernon
G4LXD Bill
Conditions and signals were reasonable around UK. Vernon reported on limited success with the 40/20m nets and reminded members of the planned ZOOM meeting on Tuesday. Another interesting chat about domestic matters, radio and Rotary, with some thoughts about attracting new members. Greetings to any listeners.
73s Bob G3SZF
From Noel WD8QHD/VA3
Past ROAR President ED N4EDT called the meeting to order at 2030Z following an informative warm-up session.
There were 21 check-ins including
Joe AF1E
Dave WN5V
Nate N8TE
George W9ZSJ
Dixon KC5PL
Peter WA6LBY
Curt Smith Guest of Peter WA6LBY
Craig KL7H
Howie K2TWL
Bill KC4D
Noel NM5AB
Dale K9SK
Phil N9HWO
Cecil J73CS
Eddie N7EDD
David ZL2WT
There was quite a bit of show and tell. Craig KL7H gave an interim update on the Drake Amplifier reconstruction. George W9ZSJ displayed his first built project. Foremost in everyone's minds was Hurricane Ida that was about to make landfall on Louisiana home of two of our check ins Dave WN5V was well out of harm's way but Dixon KC5PL had evacuated to Dallas, TX hoping to have a home to return to.
Concerns were expressed about rising numbers of Covid infections and the impact it would have on community and Rotary life.
A great meeting with loads of fellowship - Rotary and AR.
