Sunday 26th January 2020
0700z-0730z D-Star Net

Phil VK2MCB, David ZL2WT, Nick G4HCK and Diane VK4DI (mobile) were present.
We were still travelling home from the airport after attending a wedding in Melbourne.
0730z - 0800z Anzo Net on 7,105 +/- QRM

Doug ZL1BFS was 59+5 and gave me 59+10
Peter VK3KCD was 57-8 on his excellent wire antenna which we were privileged to view whilst we were in Melbourne
Alan ZL4TBH  (visitor) 36-47 was 25-37 here with an audio problem

0800z-0900z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,294 / 14,285 Long Path

Peter VK3KCD was 57 and gave me 58
Vernon G0EGW was initially 22 building to 55 on the LP and was 44-55 on the SP giving me 53
Doug ZL1BFS was 57-8 when I was beaming SP and 59 on the LP and gave me 56 to 59
John ZL2JPM was 57-8 and gave me 59
Nick G4HCK was 11-33
The band didn’t really open for me at this time
We went QRT at 0903z
However Nick asked to try again in 30 minutes
At 0930z Nick G4HCK was 54-5 and gave me the same
We were talking about Vernon and we then got a breaking remark "careful what you say" :)
Vernon G0EGW was 58 and gave me 57 - all on the LP
We finally went QRT at 0948z
0900z - 1000z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694

Condx were generally good and the following stations joined the net with Bob, G3SZF, as Net Control.

The usual lively discussion covered a variety of topics including a report from Brian that long standing member Tommy G2FUU was in good form.
