It was a such "Bazar" on 40m this morning !
On 7110 I found F4FCW. He used an excellent antenna and 400 W. So, he was the target of a lot of Italians. He meet CT7AXB and it was the end of the story. This OM started a discus...
On 7105 I found Bill, Phil and Vernon, perhaps Nick. But it was the same, extreme European QRM.
Who can explain to some Italians that using 1 KW or more is not a guarantee to receive the QRP stations ?
Next time, why not 10 KW ?
A French OM, to fight against the Italiians, is constructing a power amplifier using an tube Amplifier. For only heating the tube, 300 Watts is necessary...What do you think about ?

Good morning Jean Pierre
I still have not got a 40m antenna up yet. Its on the jobs to do list.
The Italians have always been a problem here in the UK. They seem to know - switch on - full power and off they go.
Mind you on SSTV they do send some interesting pictures of birds.
With reference a fights with the Italians I would suggest we sit down and have a few glasses of wine before we consider that action.
20m was dead today and it is just beginning to wake up now as I type this email.

Conditions were poor initially but quickly changed to good. Copy followed condx although some QSB evident. It was good to have John G3OKT and Malcolm join the net again and to hear their news. Malcolm's signal was the best from him for some time.
