Roar Nets October 31st to November 3rd 2020

Report for Week beginning 31 October 2020
Please find below advice from Malcolm PA3AHC in regard to this Sunday’s ANZO Net:
Sorry to have been missing out on some improving props, but domestic duties got in the way.
But I should report from my second upstairs afternoon shack in real office time that the 20m band seems to be reliably opening up then across the pond as dusk settles here and day breaks there. All the more reason to try yet again this coming Sunday at 1500 1600, 1700 z’s, and maybe put up my beam after 18 or so months resting on the roof of shack
# 1… Please circulate if possible beforehand ?

Yes today was the day!!!

We had a good digital contact then I worked VK4ZD followed by VK65PFA (and did I have trouble copying that call sign – my excuse it was early on Sunday). I also thought I could hear F4FCW but the beam was facing the wrong way. An hour later the late people arrived and I spoke to Vernon and I could just hear Diane. So as far as radio is concerned today was a good day.
Nicholas Wilkinson

It was much better on both 20 and 40m than before.
I received Bill 59, but later 54. I think have heard John also
Sorry Nick, I just suspected your voice.
Yes F4FCW was also on the ring...53 at the best
Thanks for the reports
Hello Phil !
0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From Bob G3SZF
G3SZF Bob was net control operating as GB0RPP (Rotary Polio Plus) in support of World Polio Day He was joined by:
G7OAI John
G3JJR John
G4LXD Bill
G3OKT John
Conditions were reasonable. Although limited numbers, a good net with interesting discussion on interference issue which are an increasing problem.
Bob reported on his GB0RPP activity, largely on 80/40, but it was good to note the wide interest in the Polio Plus campaign.
