From Jean-Pierre F1CFA
Dear Friends,
Once again it was difficult to have a good Net Meeting, as the Italian Machine was running ! We just have found a small space between two Italians splattering a lot !
I say 7106 instead of 7105 KHz...That's perhaps the problem with Serge...As the closest Italian was occupying 7105
With Jacques, we were ok with a 59+ exchange. With Malcolm and his low power transceiver (50w), it was difficult...31 no more with the QRM.
F1FBL was perhaps on frequency, but no reading signal.
Perhaps an other station...but with the QRM...
We have "rendezvous" next week 15/12 on 7105. Jacques will install our Net Meeting half an hour before and keep strongly the frequency. Thanks a lot Jacques !!
Just a remark : at 8h45 Z, the same situation repeated with an enormous increase of the propagation. Interesting, no ?
Cheers in Rotary Service
Jean-Pierre

From Malcolm PA3AHC
Dear ROAR OM’s ,
Yes ,, it was a good idea of Jacques to QSY to 7106 which was also pretty clear for me Btw , he was 9+20+ here with his linear on ! As I said I could in principle re – rig my shack # 1 outside to also do 40m with the linear which might even warm it up a bit from its 3c this morning – next week ?
I’ll also be on 20m /294 at around 1530z today from shack # 2 upstairs with all my nostalgic Heathkit stuff where it will also be a bit warmer and where I can eventually also put a linear on.. Could we also try to keep this little rendezvous on a weekly basis ? ( It did work once for us with Jacques .)
Cheers .
Malcolm
PS : Worked VK4ZD on 20m at 4/4 bw but no skip with FICFA unfortunately .

PA3AHC Malcolm
G7OAI John
G3SZF Bob
G3JJR John
G3OKT John
G4LXD Bill
Malcolm joined briefly at the start of the net and was good copy. Conditions were good although continental splatter did not help. Brian reported on excellent conditions with the earlier 20m net making good contact with VK/ZL. Hopefully such conditions will prevail.

There was some very serious discussion of Rotary and amateur radio activity in light of the Corona Virus and the image we project to others.
Rotary meetings are varied as to format and content. Many clubs are engaged in community service actions. Amateur radio has been a mixed bag. Participation in the 160 m contest was enjoyed by those active in it. Digital mode communication was limited in action and band openings between Europe and VK and ZL allowed for good contacts.
A good net with a wide range of topics was on tap.
