Notice about Dstar Trial Net
Trial ROAR Dstar Net
Immediate ROAR Past President John Moriarty ZL2JPM has been a strong supporter of introducing
Dstar to ROAR over the past two years. His support has been in part motivated by the current Sun Spot minima which has made it difficult for our more distant Rotarians to participate in HF DX nets.
A small number of ROAR members have made the decision to expand into Dstar. But, we currently have no scheduled ROAR Dstar net. This is a proposal to establish one.
The proposal is that a trial ROAR Dstar net begin on Sunday 3 February 2019 at 2100z for 30 minutes.
The Net will take place on the following reflector which has been set aside for ROAR use: DCS299 (R) the dashboard for which is http://www.xlx299.nz
For those with PI-Star, please set your DEFAULT REFLECTOR to DCS299 Module R. Do this on the CONFIGURATION Screen in the”D-Star Configuration” panel and then APPLY CHANGES. You may also change reflectors on the ADMIN screen, but this will not be permanent and you may find yourself linking to the earlier setting.
Also, on your radios, if you want to go directly or via a repeater, the URCALL is DCS299spaceR.
Looking forward to meeting up with you on 3 February at 2100z.
