0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From John G7OAI/P
Just a small number on today...
I put a call out at 0759Z and Brian, G3LUW responded. We chatted for a couple of minutes, and then I asked for any check ins. John, G3JJR came back, so we started.
Mainly non Rotary matters until we were joined by Bill, G4LXD around 0819, who reminded me that it was also our Presidential change over meeting next week.
The Rochdale Rotary meeting last Thursday was a Fellowship meeting at the local 6th form college, where an excellent 3 course lunch can be enjoyed for just £11.00.
The sometimes amusing gaffs that the students make just add to the meeting!
We had a stranger call in from Ireland, EI9HQB, Paul, who just wanted to exchange signal reports with us. We are happy to have other non Rotarians join in if they want to.
Since there were no other stations about, we concluded our net earlier than usual at 0837Z.
My reports:-
G3LUW - 59+20
G3JJR - 59+10 (Assisted by Hack Green)
EI9HQB - 57
G4LXD - 59 (Local QRM, but copied us OK)
All with significant QSB, but not a problem for me up on the Pennines!
