Further to Bill’s report above, I had good contact with Pertti. He was initially a 45 signal but came up to 55 at about 0745. He gave me 51.

From Pertti EA7GSU
For a change some communication with your part of the world.

Sunday on 40m net I managed to make it with Doug ZL1BFS and Bill. Band was not too noisy and you were 31 with me. On 20m the pipe was open as well and first heard was Bill again. With the time you came up from the noise and were nicely readable with 53 signal. I was glad to get Peter VK3KCD as well and we changed 41/33. But then the opening was cut like switched off. Band was left with Vernon and Les PA0SDZ and Nick G4HCK. There was also a visitor VK2CZ with 56/56 bw.

Tuesday was quiet on 40m (maybe nobody was in the air) but I heard Bill calling on 20m. He gave me 33 and he was 51m himself at the beginning. I understood that Vernon and Nick were qrv as well but skip was not favourable. Bill was growing to 55 in abt 20min and he gave me 55/6. Vernon and Bill tried also short path but I heard nothing of Vernon and Bill was abt 31. My problem is the same as Klaus had: Mountain in a wrong place. Today˙s visitor was S51ME with 58 signal.
