Please note the following notice that was sent out on 31 December:
Propagation predictions for yesterday, 30 December indicated that the long path from VK/ZL to Europe for 20m began from 0830z. This was noticed last week by Doug ZL1BFS and repeated yesterday where Doug exchanged 55 reports with Vernon G0EGW in this time slot.
Consequently, we have agreed to shift the time for the ANZO 20m net to begin at 0830z as from 1 January 2018.
As a result, on Sunday 6 January, the ANZO 40m net will be held from 0800z to 0830z to be followed by the 20m net from 0830z to 0930z.
Fingers crossed and Happy New Year to you all.
Note that the later net time seems to work better for long path propagation EU-VK/ZL, albeit not for me. However, Bill VK4ZD, Doug ZL1BFS and Vernon G0EGW are now humming along.

Thanks Phil and a Happy New Year to you and yours!
I was there from 0800 till after 0830 ;last Sunday but ND
Will continue to try and also appear on 40 m before. After all. it was quite a chore to put my 20m Spider back up again after a storm wrecked it a few weeks ago!
So, thanks for keeping there for us.
Vernon joined our 80m Rotary net 0900-1000 last Sunday and I think we recruited him to our AGM in York next May, so some good came of that. G7OAI John is doing all the local arrangements.

A Happy New Year to you all from Palu in Indonesia.
I’m here with the Red Cross and will have to savour my recent TWO QSOs on the same net with G0EGW and G4HCK until I return later in January.
As Indonesia has rather difficult arrangements with visiting Amateurs, I’ve not even brought the DSTAR hotspot to keep in touch via the IFROAR reflector.
Pleased to see improved propagation and hope that it slowly improves as the year progresses. Best regards to those on the net. May our numbers increase this year J.
With kind regards
John (ZL2JPM)
