From Bill VK4ZD
Sorry, Diane and I were both fully committed to the Oceania DX Contest at this time.

From Phil VK2MCB
Only Doug ZL1BFS and Peter VK3KCD on 40m today. Peter was 31 to me and could not copy me and Doug was 59. We moved early to 20 metres in the hope of better conditions at 0641z

0700z- 0800z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,295.2 Long Path
From Bill VK4ZD
Sorry, Diane and I were both fully committed to the Oceania DX Contest at this time.

From John G3OKT
QSL at 0605z gave SFI 80 A 5 K 2 sunspots 11 (falling)
QRM from the broadcast harmonic on 14.295 was a steady S6 with loud modulation.
At 0700 I heard in the noise that Pertti was 5.6 with ZL1BFS
EA7GSU (5.9 here) called Doug and got 5.2
G3LUW Brian was 4.1 here; G4HCK Nick was 3.1
HB9CQS was weak - perhaps 4.1 (pointing away?)
VK2MCB was only 2.1 here at 0706 but gave HB9CQS 5.7 (Klaus was 5.5 here); Phil gave me 5.1 but was up to 5.3 here at 0712 and then we exchanged 5.7 b/w at 0723z
EA7GSU gave Phil 5.3 and got 5.4
CT1BJZ Victor was 5.9 with HB9CQS but not heard here at 0715. Klaus now 5.5 here.
G0EGW gave VK2MCB 5.7 at 0720, gave HB9CQS 5.8, G3OKT 5.3, VK3KCD 5.7 (?), exchanged 5.9 b/w with EA7GSU. Vernon was 3.5 here, but 5.9 with Phil at 0723.
PA3AHC called Victor at 0718 but I had only a trace of Victor here. Pertti heard Malcolm but I had no copy here.
ZL1BFS could copy Klaus at 0726 according to Phil; Phil heard Pertti at 5.7
G3LUW was called by Pertti at 0727 - gave Brian 5.9. Brian exchanged 4.2 b/w with Peter, VK3KCD. Peter was heard here at 3.2 with QSB. Pertti heard Peter at 5.1; Klaus heard "not a whisper from Peter"
G4HCK Nick could just hear VKs at 0734 but in high noise. Nick went QRT at 0747.
CT1BJZ Victor was 5.9 b/w here by 0744z.
I went QRT at 0750z.

From Phil VK2MCB
John ZL2JPM and Doug ZL1BFS were good 59 signals and copied me 56 and 55 respectively.
Peter VK3KCD was only 31 to me unfortunately and had no copy on me.
At 0700z Nick G4HCK and I exchanged 53 reports.
Shortly after Klaus was 57 and gave me 53
John G3OKT was 57 and gave me 57, the best in 6 months or more.
Pertti EA7GSU was also 57 and gave 57
Victor CT1BJZ was 51 and gave G3OKT 42 at 0715z
Vernon G0EGW was 59 and gave me 59
Brian G3LUW was 59 at 0728Z but we did not get to exchange reports

From Peter VK3KCD
Had fair conditions here and had both ZL1BFS and ZL2JPM at 54 to 55. Heard HB9CQS 52, VK2MCB 21, G0EGW 57, and exchanged reports with G3OKT 44/32, EA7GSU 42/51 and G3LUW 42/22.

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From John G7OAI/P
I was ready to go at 0759Z when Brian called just as I was about to press the PTT button. I had looked up and down the band a few minutes earlier, and there were very few clear areas, so we were grateful for 3694 being free. Then a surprise - PA3AHC, loud and clear, for the first time for me. We exchanged a few overs before checking for any one else. G3JJR, G0SQH and G3SZF immediately responded, all good signals. Looking good!
I then opened the net officially, and again called for any further members after the initial group had exchanged greetings, and a rather noisy G0PCF and G2FUU joined us, and then G4LXD. Finally, at 0823Z, G3OKT.
A number of Rotary activities were mentioned, holidays, days out, rallies and signal reports exchanged. All good - conditions were exceptional today, making for a good net. My reports were as follows:-
Brian, G3LUW, 59+10
Malcolm, PA3AHC, 58
Derrick, G0SQH, 58-9
Bob, G3SZF, 59+20
Bruce, G0PCF, 59
Tommy, G2FUU, 59+10
Bill, G4LXD, 59+20
John, G3OKT, 59+60
There was some QSB towards 0845Z, but it didn't impact on our communications.
Bruce advised that he intends to have his radio looked at, so may be missing the net at some point in the future.
After a final run down, I closed the net at 0856Z.

From G3OKT - an excellent net in very good conditions with no QSB. G3OKT will be net control next week.

1700z – 1730z RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,694 MHz
G2FUU had said earlier on 80m that he would listen for any callers on this net.

From Ed N4EDT

0700z - 0730z Tuesday 10th October 2017 EUR 20m net on 14,295.2
From Peter VK3KCD
On Tuesday my display on the 7700 flickered and died accompanied by a nasty electrolytic smell it is now with Icom and hopefully repairable.
On the 10th VK4ZD 55/55, PA0SDZ 56/57, PA3AHC 33/43 and HB9QQS 55/44 and then the disaster described above. Hope to have my IC706 on for next Sunday.

From Bill VK4ZD
The first station I heard was Les PA0SDZ at 43 but did not make contact
Phil VK2MCB was 55
Peter VK3KCD was 55 when listening on our 160m loop. He reported that his radio's backlight had died and smelt electrically hot and so went QRT.
Malcolm PA3AHC was on frequency but not heard at my QTH
Klaus HB9CQS was 44 and gave me 53-4
Vernon G0EGW was 44 and gave me 55 I think
Nick G4HCK was 22
John G3OKT was not heard here.
Sadly condx to VK4 were much poorer than recently experienced.
Thankfully Phil, VK2MCB had much better condx into long path Europe.

From John G3OKT
QSL site at 0605 utc gave SFI 72 A 3 K 0 Sunspots 0
Low noise (S1), occasional QRN and splatter to S3.
I called CQ at 0700z but had no response.
HB9CQS was then heard talking to VK3KCD. Klaus was 4.1 here with QSB
VK3KCD was 4.3 with Klaus
VK4ZD then got 5.3/4 from Klaus, but Bill was not heard here
VK2MCB was called by Klaus at 0707z. Phil was not heard here but was 5.4-5 with Klaus, who was 5.7 with Phil
G0EGW "wafted up" at 2.1 as Vernon was talking to Phil.
VKs were just heard here at 0714 but nothing copied in the noise and serious splatter from an OF2 station on 14.29 at 5.9+20dB here!
G0EGW came up to 4.3 here at 0719
The net closed at 0734 as Vernon signed with Phil; Vernon then suddenly came up to 5.8!

From Phil VK2MCB
Strangely good conditions today given the falling solar flux
Les PA0SDZ was heard calling at 0659 with a very strong 57 signal and we exchanged 57 reports
Bill VK4ZD was 54
Klaus HB9CQS was 59 and gave me 57
Malcolm PA3AHC was 31
Vernon G0EGW as 57 and gave me 57
Nick G4HCK was 53 and gave me the same
John G3OKT was 41 but I didn’t get a report from him

That's all for now;
