0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From John G7OAI/P who was Net Controller
I opened the net at 0759Z, and the following members called in:-
G3LUW 59+30
G3JJR 59+20
G2FUU 59+40
G0PCF 59+10
G3OKT 59+60
G4LXD 59+40
All signals were as above initially, but QSB became increasingly apparent as the net went on, but everyone stayed at or about 59. The main topic of conversation was the imminent AGM on the weekend of Saturday 13th May in Banbury, where most of the members will be next Sunday, so there will be no 80m net next week.
I closed the net at 0854z.
For the record, I'll be away the Sunday after the AGM, in Menorca.

I went QRT at 0532z
From John G3OKT
QSL figures at 0605z were not very exciting ! SFI 71 A 6 K 1 sunspots 11 (down)
EA7GSU and G3OKT exchanged 4.2 b/w at 0705z, but later were 5.8 b/w with antennae aligned.
VK2MCB and VK4ZD were acknowledged by Pertti at 0710z but there was no sign of either here. Phil was the weaker with Pertti who said Bill was peaking 5.8/9, though was down to 5.5 later at 0723. Pertti got 5.6 from Bill.
PA0SDZ was also acknowledged by Pertti. Les was at best 5.1 here.
PA3AHC and PA0SDZ exchanged overs but neither were readable here. Pertti heard both at 5.5
F1CFA called G3OKT but I had no copy of Jean Pierre.
G0EGW came in waves at 0724; Vernon was 5.6 with Pertti, increasing to 5.8/9 with more power. Conditions were very strange on Vernon’s signal here at 0724 – rapid QSB between S1and S6.
Pertti announced that new Rotary Clubs were being established in Mihas and Ronda near his QTH in Spain.
I went QRT at 0734
That’s all for now!
