District 2060 in Northern Italy.
Nick G4HCK, Malcolm PA3AHC & Jean-Pierre
F1CFA were on frequency, but I did not hear them.
Pertti EA7GSU had rung
Klaus. He would not be on the net today or on Tuesday.
Klaus closed the net
at 0745.
Pertti EA7GSU has said that he hopes to be on Net next Sunday.
0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on

Conditions on the 80m net were reasonable. There were only five members present.
Tommy G2FUU in control with Bob G3SZF, John G3JJR, Bruce G0PCF and G3LUW. Tommy
closed the net at 0840. I suppose we cannot expect much else at the bottom of
the solar cycle, and during the first week of the school holidays.

Sunday's North American TransCon net
was plagued by noise on 40 meters, 7.188 MHZ but, we were able to communicate
with many stations, 12, basically east of the Mississippi. When we shifted to 20
meters, 14.288 MHZ stations in the Northern part of the nation were able to
communicate with the net control. It would appear that if the net controls are
going to communicate with ROAR members across the US, two separate nets are
going to be required under the existing propagation conditions.
Ingo Werk,
the incoming treasurer, was able to hear the net control on 40 meters in
Michigan but was unable to be heard by any active station on the net.
0800z – 0830z Tuesday 25th July 2017
NZ 80-m net on 3,693
0600z - 0630z Tuesday 25th July 2017 EUR net on 14,295.2
From Bill VK4ZD
I was there but nothing
heard on long path or short path
From John G3OKT
At 0305z QSL reported SFI
70 A 12 K 2 and sunspots 0 for the 6th day running.
Conditions were poor, no
sign of VK, QRN to S6
OH2BAD was 5.8/9 at 0600z, later 5.9+20dB. Miika copied
HB9CQS at 5.9+10dB.
HB9CQS was not touching the S meter here, I could just
tell that he was there; at 0627 Klaus was fading up to Q5 here, but was still
only S1.
PA3AHC was hardly hearable here but Malcolm was 5.9 with Miika
F1CFA was not copied by Miika (later given 5.1), and Jean Pierre and G3OKT heard
"a few words" both ways.
G3OKT was 5.9 with OH2BAD
G3LUW was hardly heard
here at 0608z (4.1 waving in and out); Brian got 5.7-9 from Miika.
DJ7UD
(Klaus) and SY4CCF (both visitors) called Miika at 0621, but were not heard
here.
I left the net at 0630z.
That’s
all for now! Sorry, I had family visitors so missed the Sunday nets!
