G4LXD and G0EGW were considering an “on the air” meeting of their respective Rotary Clubs between shacks. Vernon sought views on legality from the licensing standpoint.
G3SZF Bob suggested that RIBI Secretary G3OKT should e-mail RIBI members to remind them to consider attending the AGM near Banbury on May 13th 2017.
G3LUW and G2FUU hoped to be able to listen for callers on 80m at 1800.
G2FUU Tommy will be net controller next week.

1900z – 2000z N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287, 7205
From Ed N4EDT
The net was conducted on 7.205 due to poor propagation on 20 meters. The use of 40 meters was an experiment to determine the practicality of using that band for the net. The following stations checked in: Rotarians AF1E, JOE SPEARS, N9HWO, PHILIP B FLEMING, and others N9NYO, KI4JGH, KM4VKF, KI4MOA, KD8VNN, N9ZDZ, KE5PRZ,

From Pertti EA7GSU
I was late for the transcontinental by abt 25-30 min and maybe for the reason heard nothing of ROAR. But promising was some faint W - callsign˙s and one very strong Florida - stn. So must activate the egg - clock next Sunday.
