0600z- 0700z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,295.2 Long Short Path
From Bill VK4ZD
Phil VK2MCB was 33
Pertti EA7GSU was 33 and gave me 51

From Klaus HB9CQS
At 05:58z I found Jean Pierre, F1CFA, in QSO with Coco, YO9BC. The skip doesn’t often allow me to work Jean Pierre but this Sunday it was 59 b/w. Coco was rather weak, 43-54 and for once it didn’t help when I beamed eastwards. Coco wasn’t satisfied with his station. While speaking to Jean Pierre he reduced the audio input (increasing mike distance) and it did make his signal easier to read but he remained weak here.
Pertti, EA7GSU, joined the net at 06:00z and was 57 increasing to 59. Got about the same from Pertti. Pertti later switched his beam to VK LP and managed to work Bill, VK4ZD. I was able to read a word from Bill here and there but not enough to work him.
At 06:01z Brian G3LUW called in. He was 59 plus a few dB and gave me 59+20. Brian, Pertti and I called John, G3OKT, but no reply.
Malcolm, PA3AHC, was there as well. Jean Pierre and Pertti worked him. He was n/c here.
At 06:40z Alain, F4GHB, called and worked Pertti. Alain was 54-55 here and gave me 55-56.
The net closed a few minutes before 07:00z.

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From John G3OKT
Sorry, owing to family visiting, I was unable to attend this net.

From John G7OAI/P
Opened at 0759z with Tommy, G2FUU, a good signal today. Soon to be joined by John, G3JJR & Brian, G3LUW. After a couple of overs Bill, G4LXD called in. Everyone was a good signal today, 5x9+, but with some QSB & QRM upon occasion.
Amongst the various topics raised, was Bill's observation about a Lego robot that could resolve Rubik's cube in 3 seconds... Advised to look it up on YouTube. Since there were only the five of us, I called it a day and closed the net at 0840z. Tommy said he check at 1700z this evening.

1700z – 1730z RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,694 MHz

Both bands were challenging. The 40 meter was noisy and propagation was unstable. The 20 meter band was long, very long and few could hear more than one station.

0600z - 0630z Tuesday 15th August 2017 EUR net on 14,295.2
From Bill VK4ZD
Peter VK3KCD was not heard here
Phil VK2MCB was 11 here
Klaus HB9CQS was initially 11 until at 0629z (I heard him talking with Pertti) when he came up to 52 and later up to 53. I was given 54-5.
I went QRT at 0638z

From John G3OKT
At 0610z, QSL gave SFI 73 (74 predicted) A 5 K 1 sunspots 12 (after 4 days at 11)
YO9BC and G3OKT exchanged 5.8 b/w at 0602z; Coco had QSB down to S1!
HB9CQS was a just recognizable voice at 1.1
PA0SDZ was 5.5 here with QSB down to zero; Les gave me 5.7 and had 100% copy.
Les called Coco at 0610z - Coco got 5.3 from Les; Les later got 5.3QSB from Pertti
EA7GSU was 5.5 here; Pertti gave Klaus 5.7 QSB
F1CFA was 5.8/9 with Pertti but Jean Pierre was not heard here until 0622z and then only 2.1
VK2MCB was speaking to Klaus at 0614 but Phil was not heard here; Klaus was 3/5.1 here with QSB but 100% copy.
PA3AHC was only 1.1 with Pertti; Malcolm was just about detectable here.
VK3KCD and VK4ZD were also in QSO with Klaus but neither were heard here.
I left the net at 0622

From Klaus HB9CQS
At 06:00z, while beaming eastwards, Coco, YO9BC, was heard calling CQ. Originally 59 b/w but signals faded quickly. Learned that John, G3OKT, was there also, but had no copy on John. Switched to VK LP hoping to work John, but signals were too weak to read.
At about 06:05z I heard Peter, VK3KCD, calling CQ ROAR. Peter was fully readable, 52 – 53. Got 33 from Peter increasing to 53 before we finished some minutes later.
Phil, VK2MCB, then called me. He was 52 and gave me 54. During this QSO I called Bill, VK4ZD, but no reply. Phil contacted Bill and got confirmation that Bill was QRV but unable to copy any of the European stations.
At 06:12z Pertti, EA7GSU, came through barely readable but steadily increasing to 59 before the net closed. This morning, conditions didn’t work for Pertti and he was unable to copy any of the VKs.
At 06:31z Bill finally came through with a 52. Got a 55 on peaks. Bill expected that it was too early for a QSO between EA7 and VK.
Exchanged 73s with Pertti at 06:38z.

From Jean Pierre F1CFA
I was doing my best this morning, as received 58 by Pertti. Both way !
PA0SDZ was 54 for me. The QSB was Awful !
HB9CQS was on the air and I heard 41 VK4ZD, VK2MCB.

That’s all for now!
73s from John G3OKT
