From Nick G4HCK
Well perhaps we had a slight ROAR today as I did make contact with Phil (VK2MCB) as well as some other members of the group. I though Miika and Pertti were sitting next to me at one point. I was interested to hear Pertti talk about a festival in his village and the drink stalls that get set up. Needless to say Pertti was the first to leave the net. I hope you had a great time !!!
(later to Phil VK2MCB)
I am listening as I type and there is nothing from the net here. On 14.295.2 I have some contest (or the like) and on 14.292 there is a Russian.
From Bill VK4ZD
Condx were very poor from VK4 to Europe on 20m, so no go.
Phil was not available due to other Rotary commitments.
The most exciting condx were on 20m to Botswana and Beth MW0VOW on 40m at 0600z.Diane had a good chat with her.
0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,6945

G7OAI/P was 5.9 here; John heard G3LUW at 5.9 pkg+20dB; G2FUU at 5.9 pkg+20dB; and G3OKT +60dB on peaks.
G3JJR John said G7OAI was the strongest he had ever been heard, though with QSB

PA3AHC was called in by Tommy but Malcolm didn’t come back.

0700z - 0730z Tuesday 2nd May 2017 EUR net on 14,292

From John G3OKT
At 0605z, QSL gave figures SFI 75 A 5 K 2 sunspots 11 (down)
Conditions terrible! No sign of any ROAR stations at all, and 14.2952 was subject to continuous pile-ups for a DX station I couldn’t identify. Apart from the pile ups, only 2 other stations were heard on the whole band.
I called CQ on 14.295 every few minutes between 0658z and going QRT at 0717z
I called CQ on 14.292 between times and apart from a quiet Russian stn, heard nothing.
Very disappointing!
From Jean Pierre F1CFA
Impossible job this morning...and never ending story !!
Someone have chosen the frequency 14,2952 for a DX call
and a Russian the 14,292...
I tried the 14,287 MHz but nobody....
What can we do ? the ROAR is polluted !!!!!!!
That’s all for now!
