0530z - 0600z Anzo Net on 7,110

I was absent on Sunday driving back from South Australia.

Peter VK3KCD was 58 and gave me 57
Ray VK2HJW/P QRP was 57-8 and gave me 59

0600z - 0700z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,295.2 Long Path

Phil VK2MCB was travelling back from Adelaide and unable to be on the sched.
Peter VK3KCD was 55 and gave me 55
Doug ZL1BFS and I exchanged 58 reports.
Generally Europe was 11 to me
I went QRT at 0628z

Sorry not on net today. Thanks for all good wishes for our 50th wedding anniversary!
According to Pertti, the net comprised G3LUW, OH2BAD, HB9CQS, PA3AHC, G4HCK, YO9BC and EA7GSU. Pertti had no copy of VK.

The propagation figures were SFI=83 A=14 K=4
There was no sign of any station outside Europe. Pertti was using 400 watts and a steppIR beam, and he heard nothing from Australia. Miika OH2BAD, Klaus HB9CQS,Pertti EA7GSU & Coco YO9BC were all very strong. I heard nothing from Malcolm PA0AHC or Nick G4HCK.

It’s beginning to look like my next verbal connect with Bill and Peter and maybe Phil will have to wait until I physically go there in October !

Conditions for the 80m net were reasonable. Everyone was 5&9. John G3JJR
John G7OAI, Bob G3SZF. Tommy G2FUU & Bill G4LXD. Vernon G0EGW
called in and showed interest in joining ROAR. He is the current President of the RC of Framlingham in Suffolk. I was in charge this week, and I closed the net at 0845
 
1200z – 1300z TransAtlantic Net on 14,287/8 or at 1500z on Sunday on 14287kHz or 14.310MHz
 
1700z – 1730z RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,693 MHz
 
2000z - 2030z N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287/8 or 14.310
 
0700z – 0730z Tuesday 9th August 2016 NZ 80-m net on 3,693
 
0600z - 0630z Tuesday 9th August 2016 EUR net on 14,295.2 / 7,136 +/-

Phil VK2MCB was 57 and gave me 57
No European stations were heard
Phil and I went to 40m to chat. He was 59 and gave me 59+

On 14295.2 Long Path I copied EA7GSU 31 and he gave me 51
No other stations heard but for VK4ZD who was 59+ and he copied me 59

QSL data at 0305z : SFI 96 A 12 K 2 sunspots 91
EA7GSU and G3OKT exchanged 5.7 b/w at 0558z.
VK2MCB was heard by Pertti at 4/5.1 but there was no sign of Phil here. Pertti was 3.1 with Phil.
VK4ZD Bill was also said by Pertti to be on frequency but no sign here.
PA3AHC Malcolm was 4.1 with Pertti and was just detectable here but no copy.
Rather disappointing considering the relatively large and rising sunspot count.
The net ended at 0630
