From John G3OKT
Some Contest QRM but also the worst propagation conditions I’ve known in the 3 years since I took over this weekly report from Bill G4YZE! However, as usual “woodpecker” appeared at S9+20dB on 14,287 at 0727 and 0744 !
OH2BAD was the only station I heard of any strength. Miika was 5.7 here, increasing to 5.8 at 0806z; Miika got 5.7 from Bill at 0738 in exchange for 5.7 at 0800; Miika gave EA7GSU 5.9; gave G3LUW 5.7; gave 5.4 for PA3AHC and 5.6 for G3OKT; Miika could hear F1CFA;
VK4ZD – no trace here at 0730z, but suddenly appeared at 1.1 at 0800z; we exchanged 3.3 b/w before Bill faded away again at 0810.
Bill called G3LUW but Brian had already left to control the 80m RIBI net at 0800z.
At 0800z, Bill exchanged 5.3 b/w with Klaus HB9CQS.
Stations on the net who were not heard here were F1CFA, PA3AHC (5.4 with OH2BAD), EA7GSU (5.8 with Miika), G4HCK (perhaps 1.1 here at 0751?), ZL2JPM and ZL1BFS.
HB9CQS was only 3.2 here fading in and out. Klaus gave VK4ZD 5.3; had no copy of Miika, Brian nor Nick; gave 3.2 to 4.3 with QSB for John ZL2JPM, and 4.3 for Doug ZL1BFS in exchange for 5.5.

0900 -1000 BST UK 80-metre Net on 3,695
From John G3OKT
Brian G3LUW was net control. I arrived at 0815z from 20m to find that poor conditions were affecting 80m as well, with 10-20dB of QSB on all signals.
G2FUU Tommy was 5.9 here
G3LUW 5.9+20dB. Brian heard everyone at 5.9.
G3JJR John 4.7 to 5.9 here – good signal with better antenna, but Derek couldn’t hear John over his noise level.
G3SZF Bob was 5.9 here
G0SQH Derek; 5.9 with G3JJR and lovely signal with Brian.
G7OAI only 5.6/7 here; gave me S9 but weaker than usual. John was 5.9 with Tommy and barely readable by G3JJR.
Brian and Tommy said they would look for RIBI callers at 1800 BST
The net closed at 0847z.

1200z – 1300z TransAtlantic Net on 14,287/8 or at 1500z on Sunday on 14287kHz or 14.3115MHz
EA7GSU later said on Tuesday that he had missed 20m at 1500z

1800z – 1830z RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,693

2000z - 2030z N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287/8 or 14.310
From Phil N9HWO
20 meters was pretty dead on Sunday 3 April, both at 1500 and 2000 UTC. I listened on 14.310 at 1500 but heard no one and got no responses, even locally. At 2000, I had a brief QSO with a non-Rotarian in New Hampshire, also on 14.310. Even the DXers were complaining about poor conditions.
I will be traveling on Tuesday 5 April and on Sunday, 10 April, so will not participate in ROAR Nets those days.

VK4ZD was heard first at 0727z with QSB up to 5.6. Bill gave me 5.5/6, gave Pertti 5.8, gave Phil VK2MCB 5.6, and gave Klaus HB9CQS 5.6/7. Klaus was only faintly heard here – no copy then at 0727 and still only 1.1 when he came back at 0745 from another net.
F1CFA just heard but no copy here.
G3LUW gave Bill 5.6 and received 5.6/7. Brian only 3.1 here and heard by Pertti at 5.2.
EA7GSU gave PA0SDZ 5.9+20dB. Pertti was constant 5.7 here; gave Bill 5.8/9 dropping in QSB to 5.2/3 and gave G3OKT 5.8
PA0SDZ only 1.1 here but was 5.7/8 with VK4ZD. Les gave Bill 5.9 with QSB
VK2MCB was 5.5 b/w with G3OKT; Phil gave Lez 5.7/8, Bill 5.7, Jean Pierre 5.3, PA3AHC 5.3 and Pertti 5.4/6. Phil later exchanged 5.7 b/w with Pertti and gave Brian 5.7 and Jean Pierre 5.5.
PA3AHC was just a trace here – no copy. VK4ZD gave Malcolm 5.5 to 5.6
G3LUW gave both VK4ZD and VK2MCB 5.7 and exchanged 4.4 b/w with G3OKT. Brian had no copy of Pertti; could hear both Malcolm and Les but quietly.
EA7GSU gave HB9CQS 3.1, G3LUW 5.2, PA3AHC 5.9+10dB, VK2MCB 5.7 and peaked 5.9 with VK4ZD.
