From Nick G4HCK
Well it was an interesting net today. I could just hear a VK – not strong enough to establish a contact. Also spoke to EA7GSU and that was it.

From Malcolm PA3AHC Also a near-washout for me , although I QSO’d VK4ZD with difficulty and then lost his over. Pertti was nicely there as usual 5/7-8 b/w and I did hear you Nick ! A very heavy noise level and I ended up with a ZR contest station on our frequency.

From Jean-Pierre F1CFA
I was there on Sunday morning, and also this Tuesday, but, except Bill and ZL2JPM, HB9CQS, I can't hear nobody ( cause in the noise ).

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694

Good propagation and clear net frequency in spite of ON Contest.
G3LUW net control; Brian strongest here at 5.9+20dB
G3SZF Bob 5.8 with Brian; 5.9+10dB here.
G7OAI/P 5.9+10dB here with QSB down; heard Bob at 5.8/9; John heard everyone else at 30 – 40dB over S9
G2FUU 5.9+10dB here with QSB down. Tommy receiving all at 5.9
G3OKT reported from Chris G4HCL : Right now I'm in the middle of setting up my HF station remotely, as soon as I've completed this I'll be able to join in with the weekly 80m nets, which I'm looking forward to. But that's the reason for my current silence on HF!
Neither G3LUW nor G3SZF will be on next week. G7OAI net control, though G3OKT expects to be on.

1800z – 1830z RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,693

From John G3OKT
Not very encouraging!! Sorry can’t be on sked today – off to London grandchild sitting

From Nick G4HCK
Was able to look for the net today. Could not hear anything. The band appeared to open around 08.30 but even then it was a real struggle to get further than the end of the garden

From Malcolm PA3AHC
In response to Nick - Same here !

In response to Jean-Pierre's email:
Seems like a good idea to me too , although antenna-wise I’m weak on 40m, which might just be the stimulation for an improvement project after AU !
I’ll leave it to the usual consensus to emerge though …

Cheers + 73’s, Malcolm

From Klaus HB9CQS
I have two nets going simultaneously and only visited briefly.
VK4ZD Bill at 06:32z. 55-7 bw.
ZL2JPM John heard briefly Q4 before I QSYed.

From Jean-Pierre F1CFA
I was there on Sunday morning, and also this Tuesday, but, except Bill and ZL2JPM, HB9CQS, I can't hear nobody ( cause in the noise ).

Emailed to Pertti and Malcolm:
Hello Malcolm, Hello Pertti,
So sorry not to hear you both on the net meeting ROAR !
I think that we have to organize a doble net including the 40 m ( +- QRM 7150 KHz ).
For example, a quarter in a hour with the terrible actual 20 m ( ! ) to thank Bill for his efforts and, following, the 40 m for the European members. So, we can have a chance to keep in touch !!
G3OKT can be able to make a report as usual.
What do you think about Pertti ?

From Bill VK4ZD
Jean Pierre F1CFA was 33-44 and gave me 52, later QSBing from 41 to 55. He heard John ZL2JPM 53 and Klaus HB9CQS 54
Klaus HB9CQS was 57 and gave me 55-7. He advised that his friend Len was moving from VK2 to Toowoomba in VK4
John ZL2JPM was 56 and gave me 53-4
I went QRT at 0657z

That’s all for now,
73s from John G3OKT
