ROAR Nets Report for 18th and 20th October 2015

Conditions were unusually long this week.
Noel VK2IWT is back but was only 33 here
Peter VK3KCD was 58-9 and gave me 59
Phil VK2MCB was 59 and gave me 59+10 - advised about his club's successful fund raiser, BuyCycle.
 

0700z - 0800z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,295.2 Long Path

VK4ZD heard under QRM of Scouts Jamboree Contest at 0702z.
VK3KCD just heard giving 5.8 to Klaus and got 5.5; Peter quickly peaked to 5.7, dropped and came back to 5.6 here at 0735.
EA7GSU gave Klaus 5.9 over bad QRM from local scout; Pertti 5.6 here and 5.7 with VK4ZD
HB9CQS exchanged 5.8 b/w with VK4ZD; Klaus gave 5.6 to ZL2JPM, 5.9 to EA7GSU; 5.7 to VK2MCB; 5.5 to ZL2JPM and was 5.3 with G3OKT. Later at 0737, Klaus came up to 5.5 here and gave G3OKT 5.4.
G3OKT heard VK4ZD at 5.7 and got 5.6-7; by 0750 Bill gave me peaking 5.8.
ZL2JPM just heard here at 1.1; Klaus copied John mostly at 5.5. John requested immediate contributions from ROAR members to The Newsletter.
PA3AHC was not heard here.
At 0725 EA7GSU gave VK2MCB 5.7 and got 5.9; have F1CFA 4.5; gave VK3KCD 5.3; gave PA0SDZ 5.7; gave both G4HCK and G3OKT 5.7; Pertti was 5.7 here.
G4HCK was just heard giving Bill 5.8 and getting 5.5; Nick only 2.1 here, went QRT to join Jamboree at 0730.
F1CFA just heard 2.1 but poor copy. Jean Pierre gave VK4ZD 5.7 and got 5.6.
VK2MCB gave VK4ZD 5.3, F1CFA 5.3, HB9cqs 5.9, ZL2JPM 5.9, EA7GSU 5.9, G4HCK 5.6, G3OKT 5.5-6 and VK3KCD 4.1. Peter was 5.6 here and was 5.4 with Bill.
PA0SDZ only 2.1 here but copied Q5 when QRM dropped. Les exchanged 5.6 b/w with VK4ZD
ZL1BFS not heard here, even when QRM dropped. Doug was 5.9 with Bill and was 5.4 with Pertti at 0737. At this time Pertti was a clear 5.7 here.
VK2MCB said at 0740 the ZLs were getting weak. Phil gave PA0SDZ 5.1 and got 5.3. Previously very clear here, Phil dropped at 0740. Phil also said that Doug dropped from 5.9 to 5.3.
EA7GSU relayed a report from PA3AHC of 5.4/5 for VK4ZD. Pertti said conditions suddenly dropped at 0743. PA0SDZ was only 3.1 here but Pertti heard him at 5.7/8.
HB9CQS gave VK4ZD 5.9; gave Les 5.4/3 and gave G3OKT 4.3

Pertti EA7GSU was 57 and gave me 59
John G3OKT was 56-7 building to 58 and gave me 56-7
Doug ZL1BFS was 59 and gave me 59+10
Les PA0SDZ was 56-7 and gave me 56
Malcolm PA3AHC was 22 here and gave me 55?

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,693
From John G3OKT who was net control. Excellent net this week; usual S7/8 noise absent!
G3LUW Brian was strongest at 5.9+20dB.
G2FUU Tommy was 5.9+10dB; gave G3LUW and me 5.9.
PA3AHC Malcolm called in, just heard but no copy by Tommy.
G3SZF Bob
G7OAI/A heard Malcolm at 3.5 and most others at 5.9. G0PCF was 5.8. John was 5.9+10dB here. John gave welcomed details of 2 hotels on the Wirral being considered for the 2016 ROAR AGM - Friday 13th May until Monday 16th May. Day trips will involve crossing to Liverpool on the Mersey Ferry.
G0SQH Derek was 5.9 here with QSB.
G0PCF 5.9+20dB here; no copy of Malcolm, John 5.9+10dB. Bruce said propagation was going down at 0850 as the net closed.
Tommy will be net controller next week. Note UK goes -1 hr from BST time before the net.
G3OKT will be away from home from 19th October until 2nd November, so apologies no more reports until then. Please send any contributions directly to Bill VK4ZD

Klaus HB9CQS was 59 and gave me 59 also
Pertti EA7GSU was 57 and gave me 59 - advised of a mix up in the times for this net and they had just come from 40m.
At 0740z we then went to 40m (7.132) to try our luck.
Pertti EA7GSU was 33 and gave me 52
Klaus HB9CQS was 44 here but couldnt hear me due to QRM
