From John G3OKT
From QRZ  SFI  95   A 5   K 2   sunspots 27 (very low)
“Soggy” band conditions with heavy QSB and QRM, signals coming and going.
VK4ZD was there at 0600 Q2 and coming and going at S2/3 peak. Bill was a steady 5.5 at 0636, but sinking at 0640.
OH2BAD was a reassuring 5.9+10dB. Miika gave Bill 5.9 and VK2MCB 5.8.
ZL1BFS Doug was heard by neither G3LUW nor G3OKT.
HB9CQS Klaus just heard here as a “hollow” 2.2 at 0640 giving VK2BX 5.6.
EA7GSU just heard here, not touching S meter. Pertti gave VK4ZD 5.8-9 and got 5.7 with slight QSB; gave ZL1BFS 5.3 and was 5.9 with G3LUW. Pertti later came up to 5.4 here and gave F1CFA 5.9, HB9CQS 5.8, G4HCK 5.2-5, G3OKT 5.6 to 3.1; gave ZL1RD 5.8, VK2BX 5.8 and F4GHB 5.9.
G4HCK was hard to copy here – a few clear words came and went; Nick was 5.5 with VK4ZD.
G3LUW was 2.1 here and 5.6-8 with VK4ZD. Brian gave Bill 5.7 at 0633; gave VK2BX 5.7; had no copy of ZL1BFS; and was 5.5/6 both ways with G3OKT +QSB.
OH2BAD said VK4ZD was going down to 5.6 at 0635, but Miika was still copying all European stations at 5.9 more or less..
VK2MCB was 5.7 (?) with G3LUW; Phil was 3.1 but good copy here – up to 5.6 by 0649 when Phil’s copy of G3OKT rose from 5.1/3 to 5.6.  Phil gave G4HCK 5.5, gave OH2BAD 5.8, VK2BX 5.4, HB9CQS 5.9, YO9BC 5.7 and ZL1? 5.8
YO9BC was 5.9 here; Coco gave VK4ZD 5.8 and got 5.7, gave HB9CQS very weak 4.2, and G3LUW 5.8.
ZL1RD Rob not heard here.
VK2BX was heard well here, peaking 5.5; Brian got 5.9 from VK4ZD, gave OH2BAD 5.4-5, had poor copy S3 from F1CFA, was getting G3OKT at 4.4 just above the noise, gave G3LUW 5.6, was 5.3/4 b/w with VK2MCB, gave G4HCK 5.3, gave F4GHB 5.7 and HB9CQS 5.6/7.
F1CFA not heard here at all; Jean Pierre was 5.6 with Bill and gave 5.5.
F4GHB – could just hear Alain’s voice here; gave 5.8/9 for VK4ZD.
A visitor PA3GWO Tony was 4.2 here at 0651. Gave VK4ZD 5.4 and got 5.6/7.
Signals were thought to be going down at 0647 - VK4ZD was 3.1 with Pertti, but Bill was 5.9 with G4HCK at 0648, and Nick was 5.8 with VK2MCB at 0650. The net closed at 0655z.

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From John G3OKT, Net Controller
Very heavy QSB on all signals today plus usual vicious (broadband-related?) noise.
G3LUW was 5.9 b/w here but could hardy hear G7OAI at 4.4. Brian copied G3JJR at 5.9 down to 5.3 in QSB. G0SQH was 5.9 with Brian and Tommy was 5.9+20dB.
G7OAI was 5.8 here with occasional QSB into the noise. John gave me 5.9+20dB and Brian 5.9.
G2FUU was 5.9+20dB with QSB down to 5.8 here; John could just copy at 4.4; Tommy heard me at 5.9+5dB but with QSB down to S7; at one point Tommy said G3LUW nearly disappeared.
G3JJR was 5.9+20dB with QSB to 5.9; struggling with G7OAI (QSB) and had no copy of Derek G0SQH.
G0SQH was 5.7-9 in QSB here; we were all very pleased to hear Derek after his cycling accident. Derek reported he was now walking without a frame, using a stick.
Derek copied Bruce and Tommy OK but other stations not so good.
G7OAI had good copy of Derek via the Stoke on Trent SDR receiver.
G0PCF came in at 5.9 and appreciated Hack Green SDR which brought in G7OAI like a broadcast station!
The net closed at 0850z.
Brian G3LUW will be net control next week June 7th.
