At 0624z YO9BC was heard to successfully request a very strong Italian station to QSY from our net frequency. Coco was 5.7 here.
VK4ZD was only S1 at 0628 but Bill was Q5 throughout the net thanks to the reduced noise on my spider quad, often not touching the S meter. Bill gave me 2.3.

Information from Bill VK4ZD re Sao Paulo, June 2015
LABRE, the Brasilian organisation representing Amateur Radio operators has committed to providing full blown support for ROAR during the Sao Paulo Convention coming up.
At this stage we know that the call sign used will ZW110ROAR.
They will be on air for the whole of June, not just during the Convention.
They expect to have some sort of station active from within the
Convention and in the HOF at our booth #173.
They also intend that their own LABRE club station will be on air and other support stations on air simultaneously.
I understand that multiple modes will be used including SSB, CW and Digital.
The prime mover for all of this activity is Brasilian Rotarian Gustavo Franco PT2ADM.
His assistance has been invaluable.
73,  Bill VK4ZD

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,693
From John G3OKT
G2FUU was Net Controller and 5.9 here, though at times went down to 5.7 in QSB!  Tommy said G3JJR was under the noise with QSB and not always readable.
G3LUW was 5.7 to 5.9+10dB in QSB. Brian gave 5.9 to G2FUU and G3OKT, gave G3SZF 5.7 and G3JJR 5.9
G3SZF was 5.8 here above the steady S7 noise level but Bob was having difficulty with G3JJR (who was taking an unusually strong signal from G3OKT!)
G3JJR was the strongest here at 5.9+10dB but barely heard Bob and Tommy.
G3SZF said he may still be with family at the time of this net next Sunday.
G3OKT will be net control.
This net closed at 0840z

1800z – 1830z  RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,693
G3LUW had said this morning that he would listen on this frequency. Also G2FUU if he is back in time from the christening party for his great grandchildren.

Pertti EA7GSU was 57 and gave me 58
John G3OKT was 56 and gave 56 also
Klaus HB9CQS was 57-9 and gave me 57-8
At 0700z I went to 7.145 but heard no European signals

From John G3OKT
Pertti called a few times on 7114 from 0615z before this 20m net started, but he heard only QRM. Again after this net at 0700, Pertti went to 7145 but the QRM here was fearsome (eg., a local Manchester station was 5.9+20dB on 7144). I heard G3LUW at 4.7 and F1CFA acknowledged Brian. Also heard EA7GSU and G3LUW (the strongest) on CW but QRM was just too bad for a QSO.
For 20m, the QRZ figures today were SFI  97  A 4  K 2  sunspots 66
- not inspiring, but it was  low noise, easy listening net. VKs were attenuated and dropping towards 0700. Strong QSB
F1CFA was 5.6 here, 5.8 with VK2MCB; Jean Pierre gave HB9CQS 5.9+10dB, PA3AHC 5.1 to 5.5, G3OKT 5.3 to 5.5.
PA3AHC was 5.5 here, 5.8 with EA7GSU and 5.5/4 with VK2MCB. Malcolm gave G3LUW 4.3 and F1CFA 2.1 peaking 5.5
G3LUW was peaking 5.6 here; Brian gave Pertti and Jean Pierre 5.9, VK4ZD 5.7/8, VK2MCB 5.5, HB9CQS 5.9 and G3OKT 5.5.
VK2MCB was 5.4 here with QSB; Phil gave G3OKT 5.5, EA7GSU 5.7, VK4ZD 5.9+10dB, G3LUW 5.6 and got 5.7, gave PA3AHC 5.4/5.
VK4ZD was 5.6 here and gave Phil 5.9
EA7GSU was 5.7 here; gave G3LUW 5.9, VK4ZD 5.8 and got 5.7, gave HB9CQS 5.9, VK2MCB 5.7,  F1CFA 5.9 and G3OKT 5.7.
F4GHB – not sure whether it was Alain or Jean Pierre under sudden QRM but was 4.3 here.
VK4ZD gave me 5.6 then dropped from 5.5 to 4.4 as 0700 approached.
HB9CQS was 5.6 here; Klaus gave Bill 5.7/8, gave Phil 5.8; was peaking 5.7-9 with Bill, was 5.9 b/w with F1CFA, and got 5.9 from VK2MCB.
The net closed at 0700.

That’s all for now,
73’s from John G3OKT
