From Jean Pierre F1CFA
This is my report in my corner (I am located in the South of France just between North ( England ) and South ( Spain ) and the signals are poor in my green narrow valley !!! I use my Delta loop to get the signals as strong as possible... ;-)
The only man who is constant for me is Bill VK4ZD with a 57 to 59 report...But he was on travel...and VK2MCB acted as a captain on this sunny morning.
VK2MCB 57, ZL2JPM 54, PA3AHC 51, EA7GSU 51, VK3KCD 55, ZL1BFS 52, OH2BAD 56, HB9CQS 52, G4HCK 51, WO9BC 59+20, and last but not the least is MM6TNM from Scotland transmitting with 10 Watts and a single dipole...Paul was 53 here.

From John G3OKT
No report from G3LUW, G3OKT et al who were at the ROAR in RIBI AGM in Kenilworth. Bill VK4ZD later mentioned that the WIA AGM could be on Norfolk Island in May 2016 as VK9WI

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,693
From Malcolm PA3AHC
I heard Tommy G2FUU calling on 80m last Sunday but couldn’t get through. Noise again very bad.

1800z – 1830z  RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,694

2000z - 2030z  N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287

0700z – 0730z Tuesday 12th May 2015  NZ  40-m net on 7117

0630z – 0700z Tuesday 12th May  2015  EUR net on 14,295.2
From Bill VK4ZD
Jean-Pierre F1CFA was on frequency and waiting. He was 57-8 and gave me 59
Brian G3LUW was 59 and gave me 59+ - He remarked on the excellent time
that was had by all at the RIBI AGM and that both Elizabeth and Diana
were present.
John G3OKT was 57-8 and gave me 58 - He also remarked on Elizabeth and
Diana and that Elizabeth was staying with Diana for a week in Spain.
Miika OH2BAD called in with a Hi and Bye - He was 59 and gave me 59+
Klaus HB9CQS was 59+5 and gave me 59+
Pertti EA7GSU was 57 and gave me 59 - He had woken up earlier and after
going back to bed, fell asleep with a book in his hand. Hence he was a
little late for the net.
Malcolm PA3AHC was 45-56 and gave me 57 - He expected that he would be
in VK during November.
It was noted propagation was minimal inside Europe until well into the
sched. As this net was originally a 40m net, perhaps that should be
reconsidered at this time of the year. It is more important that the
Europeans are able to contact each other than for us in VK to be able to
contact Europe. Then will come the challenge for us to make contact with
the group on 40m.

From John G3OKT
SFI  163  A  15   K 3   sunspots 188 (high and rising).
Signals were peculiar as confirming QRZ propagation figures. Band noiseless apart from occasional QRN to S7 but very poor propagation to Europe.
Bill VK4ZD appeared loud and clear at 0620 on a noiseless band, but only S6-8.
G3OKT was 5.7 with Bill, peaking S7/8, but G3LUW exchanged 5.9 b/w with Bill. Brian was also 5.9 with EA7GSU at 0707z, but apart from a one second burst at 5.3 at about 0700, G3LUW was hardly heard here.
OH2BAD stayed a short time at 5.9 here (20-30dB less than usual!) and Miika gave VK4ZD 5.9+
F1CFA was early on the net but at no time was Jean Pierre hearable here.
HB9CQS gave VK4ZD 5.9 and got 5.9+5dB, but was hardly touching the S meter here. Klaus left at 0705 for another net, but “shot up” briefly to 5.5 here!
EA7GSU was just hearable here initially but no copy; was 4.6 – 5.7 with VK4ZD and gave Bill 5.9. Pertti briefly came up to 5.2 here (5.5 on the spider beam pointing west!) and then went down again. Pertti gave me 5.5 with slow QSB; gave G3LUW 5.9 and gave PA3AHC 4.1
PA3AHC got 4.5 to 5.6 from VK4ZD but Malcolm was only a trace here : no copy.
Bill explained that Phil VK2MCB could not be on the net this week, which closed at 0716z. There was mention of trying 40m for later nets.

From Malcolm PA3AHC
As mentioned this morning, the last two or three 20m nets have, seen from my perspective, been excellent DX props to VK/ZL but almost zilch inter-Europe due to a non-skip situation I guess . Hence I would be all for say a 40m try out together with 20m for a while, although that would be physically a bit tricky switching aerials and rigs at my less than adaptable QTH; but at least I wouldn’t be sleeping on the job!
That’s all for now,
73’s from John G3OKT
