0530z-0600z ANZO Net on 7110 From Bill VK4ZD Phil VK2MCB and I ended up on 7.107 MHz due to other activity on 7110 Phil was 58-9 and gve me 59 0600z - 0700z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,295.2 Long Path From Bill VK4ZD Jean-Pierre F1CFA was the only European I could hear and he varied between 44 and 55 Brian VK2BX was 59 dropping to 56 Brian was listening on European SDR receivers but could not hear my signal in Europe Phil VK2MCB was 55-7 with me We decided to go QRT at 0635z From Brian G3LUW I listened and called at intervals on 14295 from 0600 to 0630. At 0633 Malcolm PA3AHC suddenly appeared with a good signal. We were joined by George and Coco YO9BGC & YO9BC from Coco's shack. That lasted about 10 minutes. I was unable to hear any of them after 0645 and I closed down at 0655. 0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694 From Brian G3LUW Tommy G2FUU was unable to control the net on 80m at 0800 because he had a sore throat. I took charge supported by John G3JJR, Bob G3SZF,Derek G0SQH and Bruce G0PCF Conditions were very unstable with all signals varying with rapid QSB. I exchanged reports with Klaus HB9CQS and Jean-Pierre F1CFA. 5&3 initially building to 5&7 at 0630 They were both In contact with VK4ZD and VK2MCB but I could not hear the Australians at all. 73 Brian G3LUW From Bill VK4ZD The conditions were certainly not perfect. I could hear Brian G3LUW 33 here Klaus HB9CQS was 56 and gave me 54 Jean-Pierre was initially 22 and improved to 44. I believe he gave me 53 Phil VK2MCB was 56 here. Klaus heard Phil at 56-7 and gave Klause 59, so conditions further south here in VK were better. We went QRT at 0628z 73, Bill VK4ZD |
