Best 73 0900z - 1000z UK 80-metre Net on 3,693 From John G7OAI As the WX was looking OK, I ventured out onto my local high spot and set up the 80m dipole. Despite the temperature being minus 4, and the visibility down to about 200 meters, there was no wind, so not too bad for the first time in 2015. And the ground was frozen, so no mud to contend with! John, G3JJR was the first to respond to my call at 0859, followed by Tommy, G2FUU and Derek, G0SQH. All 5x9 with me, but with QSB on Derek's signal. Tommy managed to copy me above his S7-8 noise level. Brian called in at 0920 for a couple of overs before signing out at 0931, to set off to the Cotswold's. Finally, Bruce joined us at 0924, initially a good 5x9, but with deep QSB. We enjoyed a good net, but it was disappointing to lose Bruce before the end, despite several calls. Seems my 100w just isn't quite enough, sometimes! The net closed at 0950. 1800z – 1830z RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,693 2000z - 2030z N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287 0700z – 0730z Tuesday 10th February 2015 NZ 40-m net on 7117 0730z – 0800z Tuesday 10th February 2015 EUR net on 14,2952 From Bill VK4ZD Pertti EA7GSU and I exchanged 59 reports Coco YO9BC and I exchanged 59+10 reports Jean-Pierre F1CFA was 58 and gave me 59+ Malcolm PA3AHC and I exchanged 55 reports Phil VK2MCB was 55 Klaus HB9CQS was 59+20 and gave me 59+10 From Jean Pierre F1CFA We were all disappointed not to hear G3OKT, nor Brian G3LUW, on the net this morning.
