The net consisted of myself - Phil VK2MCB, Bill VK4ZD, Noel VK2IWT, Bryce VK2FADS and Rob ZL1RD.
Conditions on 40m were good but Bryce had significant QRM and could not pull me out of his noise floor.
VK4ZD was 5/9+ and gave me 5/9
VK2IWT was 5/9 and gave me a 5/8
ZL1 RD was 5/7 and gave me 5/7
VK2FADS was 5/7 but could not read me
We head off to Wyong Field Day this weekend to launch the VI110ROTARY special event call on 22 February.

VI110ROTARY (Victor India OneTen ROTARY) will be heard from Wyong from 2200z on 21st of Feb until the 0300z on 22nd of Feb and thereafter from various locations up until May 31st.
It is expected that on Sunday 22nd Feb ZL1RD Rob will be net control and that Wally VK6YS will be active with VI110ROTARY from 0700z onwards.

G3LUW could read me and was 5.6 at 0730; was peaking 5.9 with VK4ZD and gave 5.9+ for Bill. VK4ZD was 5.8 here with QSB to 5.7. Bill was on a new SDR transceiver. By 0817 Bill said I was peaking 5.9.
ZL1RD Rob was 5.7 here throughout, and exchanged 5.9+10dB with VK4ZD. Rob said all Europeans were 5.9 except G3OKT at 5.6. Gave ZL2JPM 5.9.
HB9CQS Klaus was his usual 5.9+20dB here and gave G3OKT 5.9+20-25dB. Klaus gave both VK4ZD and ZL1RD 5.9+10dB and got 5.9+10dB from Bill. Klaus gave both ZL2JPM and ZL1BFS 5.7/8.
John ZL2JPM was only 1.1 here in the noise (mentioned me!) and was 5.8/9 with ZL1RD.
VK2MCB gave G3LUW 5.7, HB9CQS 5.9+10dB, and G3OKT Q5 – Phil was 5.7 here.
PA3AHC was barely copiable here – 2.5 ? under QRM
ZL1BFS only 1.3 here also under QRM, but 5.9 with VK4ZD and 5.7 with G3LUW.
VK2IWT also only 1.5 here under QRM, but gave HB9CQS 5.8 and got 5.6, gave ZL1BFS 5.9, G3LUW 5.5, ZL2JPM 5.7, VK2MCB 5.4, and was 4.5 with VK4ZD. At 0810 Noel heard me at 5.6/5.6, and exchanged 5.5 b/w with G3LUW.
EA7GSU was 5.7 here, gave 5.9 to VK4ZD, 5.9+20dB to G3LUW, gave ZL1RD 5.9+10dB, HB9CQS 5.9+10dB and got 5.9, gave PA3AHC 5.8, G3OKT 5.7, ZL2JPM 5.5, ZL1BFS 5.8, VK2MCB 5.8, VK2IWT 5,5 and got 5.7 from VK4ZD.
At 0810 VK2MCB heard Malcolm at 5.2 and got 5.5 from G3LUW. Phil was a clear 5.7 here by 0827 and explained the organization of the Wyong Field station VI111Rotary station over the next 3 months – expecting to appear on 14.295 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The net closed at 0836.

0900z - 1000z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694

Brian G3LUW was 5.9+20dB, a little less than usual. Signals generally down a few dB. Noise level here S8 as usual so only aware of occasional word from Malcolm PA3AHC, and no-one had any useful copy. Sorry Malcolm!
John G3JJR was 5.9+20dB; John G7OAI/P was on the hill at 5.9+10dB here, but with QSB. Peaking 5.9+10dB also with Bruce.
Bob G3SZF was 5.9+10dB but getting me weaker than usual. Bob was 5.7 with G7OAI/P.
Tommy G2FUU also 5.9+10dB here, getting G7OAI 100% and everyone else 5.9.
Bruce G0PCF was 5.9; said Chris G4HCL was already a ROAR member via subs payment to Ed in the USA.
The net ended at 0955z.

1800z – 1830z RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,695,9

Brian G3LUW was Net control;
Signals 10dB, or more, higher than morning net.
Brian G3LUW was 30dB over S9 and was 5.9++ with Tommy G2FUU.
John G3JJR was 5.9+20dB here and gave G3OKT 5.9 in spite of reduced (40W) power.
A visitor M1SPH Steven in Tangmere was 5.9 with G2FUU, 5.3 with G3LUW and 5.9+10dB here.
Another visitor 2E0CSQ was 5.9 with G3LUW, 4.7 with G2FUU, and 4.8/5.9 with G3JJR. Neil was 5.9+5 here, was in Lingfield near Gatwick.
The net closed at 1835z.

Excellent conditions for VK, otherwise not good for short skip; Noise level S5/6 and QSB on European stations.
VK4ZD was 5.8 here, and 5.9+10dB with HB9CQS; Bill gave me peaking 5.9.
F1CFA gave me 5.2 and was 3.3 here. Jean Pierre was 5.7/8 with VK2MCB.
HB9CQS was only 2.5 here but 5.9+10 with VK4ZD. Klaus was later 5.9+10dB, gave Bill 5.9+20dB, Pertti 5.9 and G3OKT 5.9.
VK2MCB was 5.8 here, gave EA7GSU 5.9 and got 5.8; was 5.6 with Bill.
EA7GSU was 5.6/7 here QSB, fading to 4.5 at the end of the net. Pertti gave me 5.9.
PA3AHC Malcolm was only just hearable here; got 4.5 from VK2MCB.
VK2MCB gave me 5.9+10dB towards the end of the net
Bill and Diane VK4DI were trying out the SDR rig prior to operating VI110Rotary which Phil described would be heard from Wyong over the next 3 months. The net closed at 0805.
