2000z - 2030z  N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287
From Pertti
Not very much to report. I was on 14287kHz well before the net time. I was just waiting but nothing heard.
Ten minutes
later (2010utc) WB2UJR started to call his net. They normally had it after the ROAR net.
He was 58/9 here. At 2015 utc I switched off my
0700z – 0730z Tuesday 14th October 2014  NZ  80-m net on 3693
0700z – 0730z Tuesday 14th October 2014  EUR net on 14,295
From Bill VK4ZD
I was unable to attend this net as I had an appointment before my Rotary meeting with our District Governor prior to his official visit.
From Brian G3LUW I called on 14295 at 0700. Nothing heard. I decided to ring Diana G4MVV in Benissa, but left the receiver running. Diana is coping very well and is sleeping well. Suddenly at 0730 Jean-Pierre F1CFA popped up loud and clear.
Pertti EA7GSU was 5&7 and gave me 5&9+.  Malcolm PA3AHC was on frequency but we were unable to hear each other. We signed at 0745
From Pertti EA7GSU
The net on 14285,2 was in going when I came at 0724utc. Malcolm, PA3AHC  was 57 and gave me 45 which then later improved to 56. Jean Pierre, F1CFA was 59 and gave the same to me.
A bit later Brian, G3LUW joined us with 59 bw. The band appeared somehow odd, but maybe it was after a heavy thunder storm which occurred in the night. We closed the net at 0739utc.
From Jean Pierre F1CFA
This Tuesday, at 9h local time, we make contact with PA3AHC, arriving with a good 58 to me. I suspected also G3LUW in the back ground ( but not copying us ).
We decided to leave as no more ROAR station were on the air, but, suddenly, at 9h15 Pertti appeared with an excellent 59 +20 !!! and also G3LUW with 59...
No copy at all of VK4ZD.
G3LUW and PA3AHC were not copying each other but Pertti relayed the messages.
So, we were 4 ROAR Stations on the air and closed to 9h30.
Propagation is so surprising at this time !
That’s all for now, 73’s
