Sunday ANZO net had strange propagations from my point of view, Central EU was in a black hole. Skip obviously long because I did hear Malcolm 58 which I got from him, too. John, ZL2JPM was 21; Peter, VK3KCD 52/42; Phil, VK2MCB 42 bw and Wally, VK6YS 53/5//57. VK4ZD was 58/9 with a dip towards the end. Vitor came late but was 41 with me. J-P and EA/John were 11.
0800z - 0900z UK
80-metre Net on 3,694
From
John G7OAI
As net Controller today, I set up/P and put a call out on 3.694, as there was a strong continental station too close to 3.693. Tommy replied and we moved up a bit more to 3.695 and chatted for about 15 minutes, when we were joined by a new member, Bob, G3SZF. Both stations were a good 5x8 to 5x9 with me, but Bob was having difficulty hearing me, and Tommy had some QSB. However we carried on until 0825Z when I closed the net. Obviously many people are away just now, and band condition were not good, so not the best of nets this time! 73, G7OAI.
1700z – 1730z RIBI
evening 80-metre Net on 3,692
2000z - 2030z N.AM
Transcontinental Net on 14,287
From Pertti EA7GSU
NA net 2000utc was poor. I think I heard a gentle
voice and thought it was Bob, WB7RQG because he said "Tango Bravo
Charlie" but I'm not sure. Another station took over (WB2UJE?) but it was not ROAR net. I closed stn at 2023utc.
0700z – 0730z Tuesday 22nd July 2014 EUR net on 14,295.2
From Pertti EA7GSU
Tuesday morning EU net at 0700utc on 14295,2. Brian
was there 59/59 when I opened the RX talking with John, EA/G4HMG.
John like J-P, F1CFA was in a bottle, nothing heard of them. Malcolm, PA3AHC started with 41 but improved towards the end to 58 giving me 57. 9A5RBJ/m visited but Robert dissappeared after the introduction. Ian, GM4JAE came with 57 and I got 54. He was able to hear Malcolm but Brian had no copy of him. At 0738utc it was suggested to qsy to 7150kHz where I met with J-P but nobody else appeared on the qrg. After brief salute we closed that net at 0749utc.
That’s all for now,
73’s
