Pertti EA7GSU got propagation at 0730z and was initially 53 building to 57 before dropping away again - he gave me 55 building to 58-9
John G3OKT was 22 building to 43 with his antenna feedline damaged
Rob ZL1RD was 59+ here and gave me 59, considering the challenging conditions he had a good signal in Europe
Elvis PY2SBY (visitor) called Rob for a contact and was 33 here
Malcolm PA3AHC was 22 buiding to 43 and gave me 33
Nick G4HCK was 32 at first building to 53 and gave me 56
I went QRT at 0813z
From John G3OKT
Most signals down (A=13), low band noise but high QRN and QSB here; high winds overnight had made my usual antenna inoperable for transmit. Rob ZL1RD could just hear me on my new spider quad which is not yet off the ground. He was 5.8, initially, later 5.9 here.
At 0700 Klaus HB9CQS was only 1.1 here, talking to VK4ZD (not hearable). By 0717, they were still faint voices in the noise when Bill gave F1CFA 5.3.
At 0730, Klaus gave VK4ZD 5.5, and VK3KCD 5.6 in exchange for 5.9, and ZL1RD 5.9 to 5.9+, but was still only 4.2 here.
ZL1RD Rob heard PY2SBY at 5.6.
Peter VK3KCD gave Klaus 5.3
At 0730, EA7GSU was 5.3 with VK4ZD. Pertti was 5.7 here; gave ZL1BFS 5.7 and got 4.5. By 0740, Pertti was 5.9 here and giving VK4ZD 5.3 – 5.8/9 in QSB. Pertti was 5.7 with Bill and also heard VK2IWT at 5.1. Noel was not heard here.
VK2MCB was 5.6/7 with Rob but Phil was not heard here.
PA3AHC heard Bill at 3.2 but Malcolm was difficult to copy here.
ZL2JPM got 5.2 from Pertti, but John was only just heard here.
At 0746, Bill was peaking 5.7/8 here in QSB, and peaking 5.9 by 0802.
ZL1BFS was 5.5 with QSB here, could not hear me, but got 5.8/7 from Pertti. Doug gave Pertti 5.6
ZL1RD gave both Klaus and Pertti 5.9.
By 0750, Pertti was 5.9+10dB here, but Klaus was still only 4.3. Klaus gave Bill 5.5 – 5.9 QSB, and gave John ZL2JPM 5.4/5, and heard Pertti at 5.9+20dB.
Pertti was now hearing me at 5.9 and by 0750 VK4ZD was peaking 5.8 here.
Phil VK2MCB was little more than a trace here but exchanged 5.7 b/w with Pertti.
G4HCK was 3.2 – 5.3 with VK4ZD, Just barely heard by ZL1RD, exchanged 5.8 with Pertti , and was 4.5 here. Nick gave Bill 5.6 at 0806
PA3AHC was hearing Pertti at 5.8/9 towards the end of the net; Malcolm was just 2.1 with ZL1RD and 4.3 with Bill.
ZL1BFS was peaking 5.9 here at 0802. Klaus was suddenly 5.9+25dB; Bill could just hear me at 5.3/4
The net ended at 0810z
0900z - 1000z UK 80-metre Net on 3,695
From John G7OAI
Net opened at 0900 between G7OAI (from home QTH) & G3OKT. Good copy both ways, 5x9 +20. G3JJR was next, 5x9 to 5x9+10. Tommy, G2FUU tried with the wrong antenna, making the rest of us concerned that all was not well, but this was quickly rectified, bringing him up to 5x9 in Rochdale. OKT heard Malcolm PA3AHC very faintly, but nothing heard here. Bruce, G0PCF was also heard by OKT, and then by OAI when he turned his power up, between 3x3 and 5x9. Late comer Derek, G0SQH was only 2x3 with me. There was much QSB as the hour progressed, and things deteriorated toward 1000. I closed the net at 0955
From John G3OKT
John G3OAI was net control. Fearing bad weather, John was not /P but at home QTH and still 5.9+20dB here. Strange conditions (due to A=13?) and serious QSB.
G3OKT was “barefoot” owing to HPA/antenna problem, but still 5.9+20dB with -
G3JJR John who was also receiving G7OAI at 5.9+20dB. Tommy also “very strong”
G2FUU Tommy was 5.9+30dB here and heard John JJR “not strong but Q4  over the noise by OAI”.
G0PCF Bruce also 5.9+20dB here but received 3.3 to 5.9 QSB by John OAI.
PA3AHC came up but was barely readable under my S9 noise – likewise for John OAI. Malcolm didn’t come back when called.
G0SQH Derek was also 5.9+20dB here.
The net closed at 0954 with some confusion in heavy noise and QRM.
1800z – 1830z  RIBI evening 80-metre Net on 3,694
Tommy G2FUU had said he would check this frequency for any callers.
2000z - 2030z  N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287
From Pertti EA7GSU
NA net on Sunday late was more or less a black - out. Two/three stations came through with wobbling voice but non of us.
0700z – 0730z Tuesday 9th December 2014  NZ  40-m net on 7117
0730z – 0800z Tuesday 9th December 2014  EUR net on 14,2952
From QRZ  -  SFI  133   A 17   K  3     sunspots 77 (rising a from low dip)
From Bill VK4ZD
Conditions were appalling.
Jean-Pierre F1CFA was briefly 43 and gave me 55 before dropping away
Pertti EA7GSU eventually was 43 to 54 before fading away - I got 57 at best
Phil VK2MCB was 43 on scatter and gave me 55 I believe
Brian G3LUW was briefly 43 before disappearing
Malcolm PA3AHC was not really heard here this week
John G3OKT was also not really heard here
From John G3OKT
Conditions not good; high noise (S8) and QSB here
I called CQ (barefoot 100W) at 0732 and 0740 – no response.
EA7GSU soon appeared and exchanged 5.8 b/w though with QSB to S3.
VK2MCB was 5.3 with Pertti but no sign of VK here at all this net.
PA3AHC just detectable here but exchanged 5.7 b/w QSB with Pertti.
F1CFA was 5.7 with Pertti but no trace of Jean Pierre here
G3LUW and G3OKT exchanged 5.7 b/w; Brian had no copy of VK either.
At 0755 Pertti suddenly came up to 5.9+15dB, gave Brian 5.9 and VK4ZD 5.3
At 0803 Pertti said the pipeline was closing again. Gave Malcolm 5.3/2 and VK4ZD very weak, then lost completely.
GM4JAE worked Pertti at 0808, 5.5 for Ian and 5.7 for Pertti. No copy of Ian here.
At 0815 Pertti was suddenly 5.9 with no noise on my spider quad. I just heard Jean Pierre at 1.7 at 0816 as the net closed.
From Pertti EA7GSU
Peculiar propagation today. Ian from Scotland disappeared after first
words and J - P just got stronger and stronger!
That’s all for now, 73’s John G3OKT
