0700z - 0800z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,295 Long Path
This net is retimed next week : 0730z - 0830z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,295 Long Path
From Peter VK3KCD
On 20mx I exchanged reports with Bill VK4ZD, Miika OH2BAD, Doug ZL1BFS, Pertti EA7GSU, Alain F4GHB, John G3OKT, Brian G3LUW. Wally VK6YS had a good signal here but no contact made. It was not until the end of the net that propagation had moved far enough west to allow contacts with Brian and John. I (VK3KCD) will be absent from the nets next week as I shall be attending a 50 year university reunion.

From Bill VK4ZD
All contacts were made on the new VK2ABQ beam at 21m above the ground.
Peter VK3KCD was 59+20 to me
John ZL2JPM was 53-55 and he gave me 55
Miika OH2BAD was 59 and gave me 59+5
Doug ZL1BFS and I exchanged 59 reports
John G3OKT built up from 31 to 5.6-7 and ultimately gave me 5.9+
Jean-Pierre F1CFA was only 1.1 to me and left the frequency before conditions improved.
Phil VK2MCB and I exchanged 59+ reports.
Brian G3LUW was 5.5 once the conditions improved.
Pertti EA7GSU built up to 58 and gave me 59+.
John EA/G4HMG was 4.2 to me and I gave me 4.7.
Alain F4GHB was 53 building to 57 and gave me 57-9.
Henk VK2GWK called in and was 55 to me. Various European stations called him but he left the frequency before I could allocate time for him to call others.
Wally VK6YS called in when he got propagation and was 5.7-9 with me.
He made good contacts with a number of stations
Klaus HB9CQS called in and was 5.8-9 to me.
We closed the net at 08:24z

From John G3OKT
I heard Miika OH2BAD at 0657 talking to VK4ZD, but no sign of Bill here. Miika was 5.9+25dB, but I didn’t hear Bill (at 4.5) until 0723z when band “noise” suddenly went from S1 to S7 at daybreak; by 0745 Bill was 3.5 and the noise dropped again to S1, and at 0747 Bill fluttered up to 5.9. By 0758 Bill and Henk VK2GWK were both 5.9+15dB.
Miika OH2BAD did a good job of controlling the EU net members until the opening. He gave Jean Pierre F1CFA 5.7 (not heard here), Peter VK3KCD 5.7, Brian G3LUW 5.9+20dB, and Bill VK4ZD 5.9+5dB both on his Quad and on the VK2ABQ antenna. Miika gave Phil VK2MCB in Canberra 5.5/6 and received 5.6.
John ZL2JPM got 5.5/5.4 from Miika and Doug ZL1BFS got 5.7 in exchange for 5.6.
Doug ZL1BFS was 5.7 with Pertti EA7GSU who was 5.8 in return.
John EA/G4HMG gave VK4ZD 5.9 at 0720z and was 5.9+10 with me.
Brian G3LUW was 5.4/5 with me at 0725 with serious “buzzing” QRM which we both could hear - he gave VK4ZD 5.3.
At 0740, Pertti EA7GSU gave Phil VK2MCB 5.3 and Peter VK3KCD 5.6; gave VK4ZD 5.7 and ZL2JPM 3.1; gave EA/G4HMG 4.1 and F4GHB 5.9.
Alain F4GHB was only 3.3 with me at 0733 and gave VK3KCD 5.4, gave ZL2JPM 5.5, gave Perttti 5.5 (I think) and was peaking 5.7 with VK4ZD. Alain gave ZL1BFS 5.5 and received 5.4.
Doug ZL1BFS then fluttered up to 5.9 with me and gave me 5.5. At 0756 Doug was very strong with G3LUW who got 5.5 from VK4ZD. Brian gave me 5.6 and Alain 5.7.
At 0748 Bill VK4ZD gave me 5.3, and by 0754 gave 5.6 using the VK2ABQ beam.
Henk VK2GWK appeared at 5.9+15, gave Pertti 5.5 and received 5.7.
Wally VK6YS appeared at 0806, hardly hearable here, and received 5.4 from ZL1BFS and 5.7 from F4GHB.
EA/G4HMG was 5.9+10dB with me at 0800z; gave VK4ZD 4.7 in exchange for 4.2, gave ZL1BFS 2.2, and had heard little from VK3KCD.
Alain F4GHB at 0802 was 5.8 with me, gave EA/G4HMG 5.9+, G3LUW 5.5, VK2GWK 5.8, VK4ZD 5.9 and me 5.4.
Klaus HB9CQS appeared at 5.9+20dB at 0808 (alarm clock problem!), gave G3LUW 5.9+10dB, me 5.9+20dB, Peter VK3KCD 4.4, Wally VK6YS 5.6 and received 5.7, and gave ZL1BFS 5.7/8. We were glad to hear via Bill that Karen’s operation had gone OK. Bill was copying Klaus at 5.8/9.
Peter VK3KCD was by now 3.4 with me, gave me 4.3; was 5.6 with G3LUW who received 5.4.
Both Brian G3LUW and John G3OKT will be absent from the nets next week.
Pertti will be contesting as ED7T on 80m SOSB but will try to check-in to all the nets

0900z - 1000z UK 80-metre Net on 3,6935
From John G3OKT who was net control.
There were 9 stations in the net.
Brian G3LUW, Tommy G2FUU, John G7OAI, Alain F4GHB, John G3JJR, G0JWE who called in but did not reappear, Mike G4WRU and Bruce G0PCF. All were 5.9+ with me but neither Bruce nor John OAI had copy of Alain, John JJR only copied 25% without touching the S meter, and Tommy had minimal copy.
Alain gave 5.5 to G2FUU (b/w), 5.6 to G3LUW in exchange for 5.9, 5.6 to G3WRU in exchange for 5.5, and G3OKT 5.6. Alain was 5.9 QSB with me and left at 0930z.
Bruce had a noise level of S9+5 but could just read G7OAI, and gave Tommy 5.9, and Brian 5.9. He was 5.9+20dB with me and change of power from 50W to 100W made no visible difference on the S meter.
Mike was 5.9 with Tommy and 5.9+15dB with me, and gave G3OKT 5.9+20, G3LUW 5.9+15, G2FUU 5.9, Alain 5.5/6, G7OAI 5.5 or less and G3JJR 5.5.
G7OAI couldn’t hear Alain or Mike.
Tommy G2FUU will be net control next week.
From Alain F4GHB Of course the propagation was a little less good seen the late hour :the net control John G3OKT was 56 with me and he sent me 59 + 10dB. Brian G3LUW was 56 and he gave me 59
G2FUU Tony was 55 just over the noise , he gave me also 55
Mike G4WRU near London was 56 with me and he gave me 55
