0600z - 0700z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path
From Bill VK4ZD
Substantially better propagation this week.

Phil VK2MCB was there but only 41 to me - he has just purchased a 2 element cubical quad
Coco YO9BC had a superb signal 59+10-20, and gave me 59+
John EA/G4HMG was 53-4 and gave me 57-9
Pertti OH1SH/P was 55, operating from a friend’s shack with 100 watts into a tribander and gave me 5.6-7
Guiseppe IZ7SJS (visitor) was 55 and gave me 59+10
Fred F4ELR (visitor) was 53 and gave me 55

Klaus HB9CQS and I exchanged 59+5 reports
Alain F4GHB was 56-7 and gave me 58
Les PA0SDZ called in at the end of the net and was 53 and gave me 58

From Peter VK3KCD
Conditions were variable with QRM. I exchanged reports with Coco YO9BC, Pertti OH1SM, Vitor CT1BJZ, Klaus HB9CQS, Alain F4GHB and of course Bill VK4ZD. Others heard included Malcolm PA3AHC and Les PA0SDZ.
The net was closed at 0702z

0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre Net on 3,694
From Don G0JWE
I could hear voices and interpret some of what is being said. There was quite a lot of fading and QRM. Not being able to understand what was being said may also be due to my hearing aids, Hi Hi.
John (G7OAI) asked about Q Hotels for the 2014 AGM, where we have stayed previously and had a price based on a Group booking. I am trying to obtain that at the moment for the Park Royal at Stretton for him.
We’ll be away for the next couple of Sundays. Hope it is cooler in Norway.
G3OKT will be net control next week.

1200z - 1300z International Net on 14,293

1700z - 1730z UK evening 80-metre Net on 3,693

1900z - 1930z N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287
From Bob WB7RQG
Conditions were better this week. Ed N4EDT was net control. We had 10 checkins starting with Joe W0TBC, me, Dave W0OXB portable Port Angeles WA, Noel WD8QHD/VE3, Jack KF5BD, Russ K5OSH, W0WIT club station, Constantine KK4HBA and Pertti EA7GSU operating as OH1SH (his Finnish call).

0700z – 0730z Tuesday July 23rd NZ 80-m net on 3693

0700z – 0725z Tuesday July 23rd EUR net on 14,152
From John G3OKT
QRZ forecast SFI 110, A6, K2 - propagation good (I heard a VK at 5.9!), but with QSB and very high QRN.
I called CQ on 14.150 and then found G3LUW and OH1SH/P in SW Finland already on 14.152.
Brian G3LUW heard me at 5.9;
He was also 5.9 initially but increasingly sounded “ducted” and affected by strong and protracted QRN as high as S9+20dB.
Pertti OH1SH/P was also 5.9;
He gave both me and Brian 5.9 with QSB (and Brian S9+20dB at one point); Pertti was 5.9+10dB with G3OKT.
John EA/G4HMG came up to 5.9+20dB with me; gave me 5.9+ with QSB down to 5.5; gave Pertti 5.8 at one point but with QSB down to 5.5; Pertti was receiving John EA/G4HMG but with QSB to down S1.
Malcolm PA3AHC got 5.9 from G3LUW, 5.4 from OH1SH/P, 5.7 from EA/G4HMG but nothing at all heard from Malcolm by G3OKT.

That’s all for now, 73’s to all
