Norman 2E0RKO (a visitor) called in to give me an astounding 59+40 report, but was only 54 to me.

From John G3OKT
At 0725, F1CFA was working SV9IEK, Zbyszek in Tarnow Poland, who was 5.9+ with both Pertti and me. At this time I enjoyed very low noise (S1) but I couldn’t hear Jean Pierre at all. Neither could I make sense of the hollow voice of Phil VK2MCB who was in contact with Klaus HB9CQS.
I could just hear Klaus at 0737 talking to Bill VK4ZD who was then only 2.2. At 0816 Klaus suddenly came up to 5.9+30dB, and Bill slowly built through S6 at 0740, S7 at 0742 to 5.9+10 by 0828. At this time Bill said I was peaking 5.8 and Brian 5.7.
Earlier, John ZL2JPM heard Pertti EA7GSU at 3.4 and got 5.5; John gave G3LUW 3.2? and was only S1 here.
Pertti gave Phil VK2MCB 4.1 and later 5.2/3, and got 5.1; Pertti gave PA3AHC 5.6/7. By 0825 Pertti was 5.9 with me, but before that -
Alain F4GHB gave HB9CQS 5.6/7 but was not even S1 here. Pertti gave Alain 5.9, gave Brian 5.9 and me 5.7 and ZL1BFS 5.7/8
Doug ZL1BFS got 5.9 from Bill; Doug and I exchanged 5.6 at 0745 but by 0822 he was up to 5.8 with me.
Brian G3LUW had a hollow voice quality which fluttered from 1.7/8 to later 5.7/8.
Vitor CT1BJZ came in at 0805 and gave G3LUW 5.9, HB9CQS 5.6, F4GHB 5.9+, ZL1BFS 4.4, PA3AHC 5.9, and with slow QSB came up to 5.8 with me.
When propagation opened here for Klaus at 0816, Klaus gave Vitor 5.8, gave Alain 5.6, gave Brian and me 5.9+20dB and ZL2JPM 5.6 (later 5.7), and ZL1BFS 5.8
At this time VK4ZD gave Malcolm 5.6
Brian G3LUW (still hollow and fluttery) got 5.6 from VK4ZD, gave ZL1BFS 5.5.
Jean Pierre F1CFA was never better than 2.2 with me, got 5.4 from VK4ZD at 0750 and gave me 5.3
John ZL2JPM was 2.2 with me at 0815 and got 5.4 from F4GHB; Brian gave John 5.3 and received 2.3; John was not hearing me well.
Bill VK4ZD said he would e-mail Vitor for details of how to remote the station to be used in June 2014 in Sydney.
As the net closed at 0835, HB9AIU called in at 5.9+20 and was answered by ZL1BFS.

0900z - 1000z UK 80-metre Net on 3,693
From John G3OKT who was net control.
Conditions good again, signals from Europe very strong but the band was correspondingly busy. Brian said he was enjoying noise-free frequencies on both 20m and 80m!
Alain F4GHB and I exchanged 5.9+20dB
Brian G3LUW also got 5.9+ from Alain. Brian gave 5.9 for Alain, Bruce, Tommy, Norman and Mike, but was not really copying Malcolm; He said G3JJR was a lovely signal.
Bruce G0PCF could work Alain for the first time, at 5.9+10dB. Alain gave Bruce 5.8.
Tommy G2FUU was 30dB over S9 and got 5.9+ from Alain, but was only copying the odd word at 3.7 from Malcolm PA3AHC because of S8 noise.
Mike G4WRU gave Alain 5.9 and got 5.9+, and gave G3OKT 5.9+20, G0PCF 5.6/7, G2FUU 5.9+10 , G3LUW 5.9+15, G0SQH 3.4, G0MMO 5.9 with sharp QSB, G3JJR 5.8 and only 1.1 for PA3AHC.
John G3JJR was 25dB over S9 with me, had armchair copy from Alain who gave him 5.8, but no copy of PA3AHC.
Malcolm PA3AHC running 100W was 5.9+10 with me gave me 3.4 to S9+10 in QSB; Malcolm said G3LUW was way down at 3.3; was not copying F4GHB; and was only 1.1 with G4WRU.
Norman G0MMO came in at 5.9+20 but said I was the only station that Bruce had solid copy from, because of heavy noise. Norman said that he had been trying the 80m net most Sunday mornings, but often had no copy because of high noise. F4GHB have Norman 4.8.
Derek G0SQH was 5.9+10 with me, and gave Brian and me 5.9, Norman G0MMO was down in the noise and suffering QSB.
Both G3JJR and G2FUU detected some intermittence in Norman’s signal and suggested he check his audio for possible loose contact.
I closed the net at 0956. Brian G3LUW will be net control next week in my absence.

1200z - 1300z International Net on 14,293
From Pertti EA7GSU
We were a good half a dozen members in reasonably good radio weather.
Mike, G8LES was just finishing pre-net qso with Klaus, HB9CQS when I opened my receiver.
He was 59 with me as was Klaus, too.
Mike, N4PF came with 59 and gave me 57.
Coco, YO9BC had his beam few degrees off direction to me and got only 58 but adjusting the direction raised him to 59+15dB.
I heard Bert, VE3BGG calling with 55 (qrm) signal which improved to 57 towards the end, I got 45 from him. Great!! And came also Joe, AF1E with 58/9 signal giving 58 to me.
Propagations were quickly varying and also power failure played game (N4PF).
We are looking forward to more similar happenings
Thanks everybody and 73

0700z – 0730z Tuesday December 10th NZ 80-m net on 3693

0730z – 0830z Tuesday December 10th EUR net on 7175
From QRZ SFI 168 (134) A 5 (2) K 3 (1) Sunspots 125 Figs in ( ) last week
From John G3OKT
Sorry my antenna feeder had been twisted by strong winds so I missed this net.
Pertti EA7GSU had previously e-mailed “The 40m Tuesday net has been operating on 20m for the all Summer and it is time to move back to "home band". It will hopefully let all participants to hear all the other members.
This weeks monitoring of the 40m band gives following results: It appears that frequencies around 7172 - 7178kHz would be possible for net use on Tuesdays around 0730utc.
We will meet on 7175 +/- 3kHz at 0730utc on Tuesday December 10th.
As a back-up I will keep a rx open on 14150kHz +/-qrm just in case!”

From Jean Pierre F1CFA
Pertti has not mentioned the following participants of this morning on 7175 KHz.
EA/G4SMG John with a 59 +30 dB with me !!! fantastic !
EA/G4MVV Idem ( on control of John ! )...With Diana's dreaming voice !!
EA/G7GSU Pertti with a 55 good signal and a new antenna ???
G3LUW Brian with a 55 too good signal
And they received me the same with my 80m Skywire.

That’s all for now,
73’s to all
