0600z - 0700z  Europe - Anzo net on 14,293  Long Path:
Hi Bill
While I was tuning up I heard Peter VK3KCD (who was 59) acknowledge:
Doug ZL1BFS who was 59 here and gave me 59+10
Rob ZL1RD was 59+ both ways.
Brian G3LUW checked in with a good 55 signal, followed by
John G3OKT who was also 55 here, gave me 57
Phil VK2MCB was actually audible here for a change at 57
Klaus HB9CQS was a solid 59 signal and gave me 59+10
Malcolm PA3AHC and I exchanged 54 reports - he expects to arrive in VK in week 43 (Oct 22-28)
Coco YO9BC checked in with a solid 59+5 signal - he initially gave me 59 and later advised I was 59+20
Pertti EA7GSU started off at 57-8 and rapidly built up to a great 59+5 signal.
Jean Pierre F1CFA was difficult copy due to QRM - I gave him 34, and he gave me 55.
Ahmed 7X2DF joined us and was good copy in VK and ZL - I exchanged 55 reports with him.
John G4HMG/P may also have been on frequency but I did not hear him.
Your emailed report is much appreciated Bill.

0800z - 0900z - UK 80-metre Net on 3,694  and others:
Hi Bill, Conditions on 20m to VK and ZL were excellent. Peter VK2KCD started the net and handed over to Bill VK4ZD. I could hear very little of the Europeans but the following were mentioned: G3OKT, HB9CQS, EA7GSU, PA3AHC YO9BC and F1CFA. Rob ZL1RD was very strong and I worked Phil VK2MCB. I was in charge of the 80m net attended by G4WRU, G2FUU, G3JJR, G7OAI, G4HMG/p G0PCF, G0OKT and G0JWE. I was unable to be present at the lunchtime net. In the evening we had G4HMG/p , G4WRU, G2FUU and me. John,G4HMG and Diana are staying in their caravan in Somerset. He is running 100w to a random end-fed wire attached to an adjacent tree. I copied him 5&7 but the others had difficulty. Nice to hear you on the telephone Bill, and we all wish you a successful knee-replacement, due to take place on 16th.October 73 Brian G3LUW

1200z - 1300z  International Net on 14,292
Hello Bill,
Klaus had an invitation for lunch, so I took over.
After the excellent ANZO propagations the afternoon net was a
disappointment. But we were five although not hearing one another:
Coco, YO9BC was booming as usual with 59+ and had
Malcolm, PA3AHC with good signal. Coco had no copy of Mike, N4PF.
I hardly heard Malcolm being on the qrg. I later turned my beam 90º and
heard him 53.
Mike, N4PF had good signal 57 but he had problems in hearing me.
I made a qrx calling in few minutes intervals gut didn't entice any
more participants.
When nearly closing the net, came Mike, G8LES with 59. We tried
together to dig up N4PF but he had gone.
I closed the net at 1236.

In NA continental net at 1900utc I at last managed the qso with Bob,
WB7RQG with 57/45 signals in spite of Greek net 2kc lower. They
communicated the radio being 200% over modulated and secured the
audibility with sergeant's shouting.
The only other station heard was W0TBC with 22.
Autumn will improve the skip and more station will be audible.

That is this Sunday.
My best regards to you and wishes of speedy recovery. Your voice seem
to catch more participants to the afternoon net, hi!

1900z - 1930z  N.AM Transcontinental Net on 14,287
Hi Bill:
Hallelua Our ROAR treasurer had a really good time on the net today. Bob WB7RQG our ROAR treasurer was using his new Ameritron automatic tuning amplifyer . He talked with every station that checked in and some twice-----he and Pertti had a nice conversation going . And Medford Oregon is a long way from Spain. Bob's new amp does a real good job supplying his beam with a 1000 watts.
Joe WOTBC was the net comtrol and logged in nine stations which were: Former presidents Pertti EA7GSU and John W8AUV; W2LGF Reuben California; KF5BD Jack New Mexico; W2LGF Reuben; W0TBC Joe
Minnesota; and visitors KI4KBO Robert Virginia;
