0800z - 0900z  UK 80-metre Net on 3.693
Many Thanks to Brian G3LUW for the following report :-
Hi Bill, We were thin on the ground today. My large aerial is on the grass, so I could only do the 80m nets. I ran both the morning and evening nets. This morning those attending were G4WRU, G2FUU, G3JJR & G0PCF. This evening it was G4WRU, G2FUU, G3JJR & G0JWE just returned from a family reunion in Scarborough. Tommy announced that he and Olive had just become proud great-grandparents. Congratulations from us all.  73  Brian   G3LUW

Many Thanks to Jack KF5BD for the following report :-
Good morning Bill; I hardly know where to start reporting our successful net that was conducted by ROAR Treasurer Bob WB7RQG. Check-ins were KB6NU Dan, N4EDT ED, who was mobile somewhere in the State of Alabama, KF5BD Jack, AF1E Joe Spears from North Carolina, W0TBC Joe Minn.,who checked in to me via the twisted pair because of a power failure at his QTH, W2LGF ReubenCalifornia and Pertti EA7GSU Spain. What made our net such a huge success today was the fact that most of the check- ins were able to visit with Pertti this time. Even the mobile, Ed N4EDT was able to visit with Pertti. In addition Dan KB6NU was operating from the new museum where the stations new antenna installed on top of the building was located. The antenna was funded with a grant from ARRL. Dan and the museum's curator, both AnnArbor Michigan Rotarians are responsible for getting the radio station installed in the museum. That was an exciting local Ann Arbor Michigan Rotarians project to report by this scribe. Special note for Reuben------I called you and Bob called you after you checked in but propogation must have degraded. Visitors are always welcome.

Messages Received :-
Hello Bill,
I hope all is better!
The Sunday late night show at 2000 cross the pond did not have plenty
of audience. Although I heard half of dozen Americans in the
Continental net and worked KF5BD, WB7RQG, KB6NU, AF1E and N4EDT/M with
decent reports, the participation to Atlantic net later was low.
Mike N4PF with 58 signal and Bob, WB7RQG with 55 were waiting. Visitor
Doug, VA1DWR came on silent channel with 52 asking for report of his
100W tcvr.
Many calls made with no more success so 2028 I closed the net.
Although propagations were very good and I believe they will improve
further for 1900 Continental net, they seem to deteriorate from 2000
onwards and the time may not be optimal for Atlantic net.
I will anyway be there again next Sunday!
All the best Bill   73   Pertti
