Many Thanks to Peter VK3KCD for the following report :-
Good Morning Bill
An active 40mx ANZO net this week with good propagation deteriorating toward the end of the net.
Present were Reg VK7KK, Bill VK4ZD, Peter VK3FPSR, Noel VK2IWT, Phil VK2MCB, Doug ZL1BFS and myself. Peter VK3FPSR was up to readability 4 on his allowed 10 watts with Doug ZL1BFS his best result recently. 20mx was another matter with the numbers being a bit depressed and the band appearing to peak between 0500 and 0600z. As I had to return t Melbourne that evening I did not persis

Doug ZL1BFS was first on the scene 59 both ways
Peter VK3KCD and I exchanged 59 reports but went QRT when he couldnt hear Europe
Henk VK2GWK checked in with a 55 signal to me and worked into Europe giving no more than 55 reports - went QRT at 0745z
Phil VK2MCB also was present but had no luck into Europe
John EA/G4HMG was there but I couldnt hear him
Brian G3LUW eventually got up to 53 and gave me 52
Pertti EA7GSU was 43 at best and gave me 55 I believe
We gave up and closed the net early at 0810z

0900z - 1000z  UK 80-metre Net on 3,694.
Many Thanks to Brian G3LUW for the following repiorts :-
Hi Bill, Signals were not very strong from down-under this morning. Doug ZL1BFS was very readable, as was Henk VK2GWK. I could read Bill, VK4ZD with difficulty, and the two Spanish stations were strength 9 ( EA7GSU & EA/G4HMG ).
Not many callers this morning. I ran both 80m nets. There were nine on this morning and six this evening, which is an improvement on recent weeks. The usual stations called in with a surprise call from Ian GM4JAE this evening. 73 Brian

1200z - 1300z  International Net on 14,293.
Many Thanks to Pertti EA7GSU for the following report :_
Hello Bill,
Participation into the afternoon Trans-Atlantic net is getting thin. I
opened the net calling for members for abt 10 min without any reaction.
Just when announcing to close down at 1210utc came Mike, N4PF with the
proof that the net still exists. We changed reports 57/57 and I
suggested to end as no other station had reported. Seconds before
unplugging at 1219utc I heard Bert VE3BGG coming with 55 and growing up
to 59 later-on. We had a good 15min qso until I broke-off at 1234utc
and left Bert on the watch.
Assumption was that the change to winter time has confused the OM's and
therefore they stay in bed longer!!!

Messages Received.
From President Bill VK4ZD.
Good morning ROAR Members
I have received a request from Shelterbox USA.
They want to know if any of our members have direct personal contact with any hams in Cuba......
Hurricane Sandy made a direct hit on Cuba after flying over Jamaica.
ShelterBox, a Rotary disaster relief organization, would like to assess the possibility of sending boxes to Cuba. Do any of your members have access through amateur radio to any Cubans in Cuba?
As you are aware, I am sure, there are no Rotary Clubs in Cuba. That will not affect SBox since we have shipped boxes to Myanmar, China and North Korea, all without Rotary Clubs
