Roar Nets November 11 2012

Propagation good,  K=2,   A=7,  Flux=135.

0645z - 0730z  Anzo Net on 7,118.
Many Thanks to Philip Byrne VK3MCB  (Pres. of R.C. Canberra) for the following report :-
Hello Bill,
Peter VK3KCD asked me to send the 40MX report this week in his absence.
The net was attended by Bill VK4ZD, Noel VK2IWT, Peter VK3FPSR and myself. We were joined by Pertti EA7GSU on CW who was copied by Bill well, and even I could copy him in Canberra on my poor excuse for an antenna. All the Australians were suffering from strong QRN from thunderstorms on the east coast with Bill being most affected. Despite the weather, all were good signals and a good time was had by all.
YIR and 73 Phil VK2MCB

And Many Thanks to Roar-UK Secretary John G3OKT for this view from the European end :-
Excellent conditions for VK and ZL but serious storms in Qld (later saw a Utube video of an impressive but harmless Waterspout in NSW!)
Brian G3LUW opened the net (5.3 both ways with G3OKT) and initially got 5.5/6 from Bill VK4ZD
John EA/G4HMG got 3.6 from Doug ZL1BFS and 3.4 from Bill VK4ZD. John was 5.7/8 with me.
Doug ZL1BFS was 4.6 with John G3OKT who gave Doug 4.5.
Pertti EA7GSU got 5.8 from Doug ; was 5.7 with G3OKT (5.9 on a Jaybeam 3 band vertical rather than the usual 80m doublet)
Klaus HB9CQS was initially undetectable by G3OKT - later came up to 5.9+20dB as skip changed !!
Bill VK4ZD was 5.8/9 with John G3OKT who received 5.8. Bill was suffering 30dB over 9 QRN crashes; Had had 95mm rain since last visited shack. Reported having a great family birthday celebration on Friday. Still using the 160m horizontal loop while working on Quad.
Nothing heard from Phil VK2MCB or Noel VK2IWT
Martti OH6SM was 5.9+20 with G3OKT; got toppy speech report from 2 or 3 stations - typical of voice proc., good for DX
