Many Thanks to Mike G4WRU for the following report :-
Hello Bill
hope you have your op soon, and hope Josie is well. This morning (9/12/12) i was net controller. First to reply to my cq rotary call was Tommy G2FUU with a 59 plus 5db. Next on was Johm G3JJR with a good 59 sig. John G3OKT was next with a booming 59 plus 15. Don (G0JWE) was way down below my noise level and I couldhardly hear him and he could not copy me. Bruce G0PCF was last on with, at first, a very distorted audio, untill he adjusted his rig and then came through loud and clear. After interesting discussions, I closed the net at at 10.00.
Brian G3LUW, back from his babysitting stint, was in charge at 18.00 hours. EA/G4HMG was on frequency with a good 55 sig, reporting that Diana will shortly have her full leg plaster removed and replaced with a smaller one. I of course was there. Tommy G2FUU fell asleep in the armchair and so joined the net a little late. Don G0JWE joined us late and just popped in and out. 73's Bill Mike G4WRU 1200z - 1300z International Net on 14,293 Many Thanks to Pertti EA7GSU for the following report :-
Here is the report of today's Trans-Atlantic.
I opened it by calling the ROAR's and, as usual got the response by
Mike, N4PF who seems to be the lighthouse of the net. It was 59/59 both ways, and very good propagation. Joint were Klaus, Hb9CQS with the usually good signals and surprisingly with EA/G4HMG with 59/59 by atmospheric miracle! We got also Diane /G4MVV before the skip deteriorated to nil between them and me. With overpowering signal I heard YO9BC, Coco and joint by AF1E, Joe with 59 both ways as well and him informing of G0JWE on the qrg. I heard him only 31 but later with better sig's 57. Between the slots of turns came Malcolm with his newly erected beam but only 55 to me. All in all a good net and good audibility with sometimes two or three layers of talks going on at the same time, hi! The band is not dead! Just it lacks the participants!
amicably
Pertti
