Propagation poor. K=0, A=5, Solar Flux = 108
0645z - 0730z - Anzo Net on 7,118.
Many Thanks to Phil VK2MCB for the following report :-
Good Morning Bill,Due to Peter’s VK3KCD absence at Rutherglen in Victoria where he is working QRP, it falls to me to provide the 40m ANZO report. Again a good net with better than usual conditions between VK and ZL. Present were Bill VK4ZD, Noel VK2IWT, Peter VK3KCD (5 Watts from Rutherglen), Peter VK3FPSR, Doug ZL1BFS and Phil VK2MCB. Doug was particularly readable, up to 5/9+10 in VK2 and VK3.

0730z - 0830z - Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path.
Sorry I missed this net - family wedding in Glasgow, attendance compulsory!
No reports. Propagation confined to the southern hemisphere I guess.
0800z - 0900z - UK 80-metre Net on 3,693
Many thanks to John G3JJR for the following report :-
Hi Bill
Trust you enjoyed your trip to Edinburgh (Glasgow actually, and it crippled me but thanks anyway.) and all went well.
There were seven on the UK 0800z net this morning: G0MMO, G4WRU, G7OAI, G4MVO, G2FUU, G3OKT and G3JJR in the chair. Conditions moderate with qsb at the start, signal strengths good with little qrm.

1200z - 1300z - International Net on 14,293
I missed this net also, Many Thanks to President Pertti for the following report :-
Hello Bill,
We were not many on the air! Propagation felt more like a black hole
but it started well: I heard Bert VE3BGG calling Coco at 1157 with 53 signal. Coco had problems in copying him but was 57 with me. I did not quite manage to get the report from Bert. Mike, N4PF came with 54 and later 57. I got 33 later 54. We had three visitors: HB9BVB, DL1DHM and SP3WXI. Malcolm had only heard me and we exchanged the reports 56/55. When no more visitors appeared, I closed the net at 1236 utc.
In the hope of well oiled pipelines next Sunday
Pertti, EA7GSU
1700z - 1730z - UK evening 80-metre Net on 3,693
Many Thanks to Brian G3LUW for the following report :-
Hi Bill, I have been a bit under the weather, and missed the morning 80m net,
here were only 4 of us in the evening. G4HMG/P from his caravan in Taunton, G4WRU and G0JWE. Noisy conditions and John's signal was very weak - in fact I was the only one to copy him. We called it a day at 1818. 73 Brian
(Thanks again Brian, hope you are feeling better now!, Bill.)
1900z - 1930z - N.AM.Transcontinental Net on14,285
Many thanks to Jack KF5BD for the following report :-
Dear Bill:
Bill, we did not have a net today. I heard Bob try to find a spot. We talked a bit and he told me to standby on 14.285 but never came back. After waiting fifteen minutes I gave up. Speaking for myself only we may have to abort this net on twenty meters on Sunday. Jack KF5BD
(Propagation across the states should be good at this time. With QRM the controller has to decide whether to sweat it out against the competition or move to a "clear" frequency and risk losing half the net. On a long distance net like that my interference might be on a different frequency from yours so it is near-impossible to find a frequency that will please everybody.
You might be lucky and find a frequency that is clear for them all.
But it might be better to have a couple of back-up frequencies in mind, say 14,288 and 14,293 +/- 2kc/s)
