Many Thanks to Peter VK3KCD for the following report :-
Good Morning Bill
Very difficult conditions on 40mx this week due to extensive electrical storm activity one Northern New South Wales and Southern Queensland. As a result Bill VK4ZD had QRN at S9+20 and I had S7 QRN making copy quite difficult if signals were at all weak. On board were Bill VK4ZD, Doug ZL1BFS, Phil VK2MCB, Peter VK3FPSR, Malcolm VK/PA3AHC who was visiting Bill VK4ZD and myself. Bill was struggling with the QRN despite having reasonable signal strength from most stations and I was able to copy everyone OK apart from Doug ZL1BFS whose signal did improve later in the net. It was great to have Malcolm on the net and we wish him a safe return to Amsterdam this week.

Hi Bill
Propagation was interesting into NA and Europe today at 1200z.
International Net to NA on 14.293.
A repeated data transmission marred reception on the frequency with lengthy transmissions.
When the qrm from the data transmission wasn’t there I could copy you, G4YZE, Klaus HB9CQS, John EA/G4HMG and Pertti
EA7GSU on my large 160m loop.
Coco was 57 when he was beaming to Klaus.
Jim W1QUO and I exchanged reports of 57 both ways.
Mike N4PF and I exchanged reports. He was 57 and gave me 59.
Bert VE3BGG called in at 1200z with a 57 signal – we later exchanged 57 reports.
AF1E was only just audible here.
After the net I worked you G4YZE 56 both ways, Pertti EA7GSU was 44 and Klaus HB9CQS was 56, gave me 57 – all on the short path.
Regards     73     Bill, VK4ZD.

From Brian G3LUW :-
Hi Folks, John EA/G4HMG and John G7OAI and I had reasonable reception on the 40m net this morning. Pertti is having aerial problems but he usually takes part. We have decided to go back 30 minutes to encourage some of you to take part. The net next Tuesday will be :
7.180 mh/s @ 0800 gmt
I will not be on the air this Sunday. We are away attending a wedding in Sussex.
