Good Morning Bill
Better propagation this week on 40mx and I was able to copy Peter VK3FPSR in Cobram Q5.
Present were Noel VK2IWT, Peter VK3FPSR, Bill VK4ZD and myself.
YIR and 73 Peter VK3KCD.
And further from Peter :-
I shall be absent from the nets from March 20 to April 3 inclusive.
I shall ask Bill VK4ZD to provide a short note on the 40mx net.
73 Peter

0730z - 0900z  Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path.
Many thanks to Klaus for the following report :-

Greetings Bill,

Another Sunday with good propagation conditions and good attendance:-

07:12z  VK3KCD, Peter. 58-59 here. Got 59. With no one else on the net we had a fine two-way chat.

07:29z  VK4ZD, Bill, came on with 58 signal. Got 57. Q5 between Peter and Bill.

07:31z  G4YZE, Bill. 44 here. The band was now opening up and Bill and Bill took over net control jointly.

07:39z  EA7GSU, Pertti. 59+ both ways with sudden extreme dips. High winds and rain with raindrops electrically charged and hence much QRN.

07:45z  IK6MII, Aldo. About 58 here, but Aldo had difficulties copying me, probably due to high mountains close by in that direction.

07:52z  EA/G4HMG, John. John later worked Bill, VK4ZD, but the band was not open between John and Peter.

07:57z  JM2HBO, Terusan. 54-56 here. First contact between Terusan and Aldo.

08:16z  PA3AHC, Malcolm, almost skipped out here. The EAs fared much better. Malcolm also worked the VKs.

08:28z  OH6SM, Martti. It helped when Martti switched on his linear. As usual a big signal, also for the DX stations.

08:36z  VK2GWK, Henk, 59 here. Got 58. Henk's Emtron linear is still under repair. Meanwhile Henk is using his old linear.

08:42z  G3LUW, Brian. 44 here. Could be back-scatter.

08:45z  G3OKT, John. Another 44 here, much like Brian's signal.

09:04z  Net closed.

P.S. I learned from Peter that he has introduced some Rotary colleagues to amateur radio.

He expects that as a result two of his Rotary colleagues may take up amateur radio as a hobby.
