Roar Nets July 10 2011

Propagation poor. Tough contest activity.  K=2, A=13,  Flux=91.

0530z - 0600z  Anzo Net on 7,118.
Many Thanks to Peter VK3KCD for the following report :-
Good Morning Bill
40mx provided good conditions with Bill VK4ZD, Peter VK3FPSR and myself on deck. I also learned during the week that Reg VK7KK became president of the Rotary Club of Howrah (in Hobart) for the current Rotary year. Our congratulations.
YIR and 73 Peter VK3KCD

0600z - 0700z  Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path.
And for this report :-
As well as Bill VK4ZD I contacted Klaus HB9CQS at 0602z after a contest station graciously QSYed from the frequency with 3-4x3 reports both ways. Our communication was interrupted by a power failure here in Flinders due to some severe winds. I came back on again briefly at about 0620z but was again interrupted by another power outage, at which stage I retired from the shack! YIR and 73 Peter VK3KCD

1236z - Net ended.  Very hard work.  Contest breaking up all signals until it ended at 1200z.
After 1200z things were still very poor with high transatlantic path attenuation.
Klaus did best working Jim, Bert, Mike and Joe fairly well.
It can only get better !
