Good Morning Bill
40mx quiet at this location this week but others had contest QRM. Present were Noel VK2IWT, Phil VK2FPDB, Bill VK4ZD, Reg VK7KK and myself. Doug ZL1BFS was listening but could not copy the VKs through the contest QRM. Bill VK4ZD also had QRM problems. There were no dramatic reports this week and local temperatures ranged from 13 Celsius at Phil’s QTH to 38 at Bill’s. YIR and 73 Peter VK3KCD.
0730z - 0900z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path.
I got into it about 0815 but very marginal with VK4ZD only 4/3 at best.
John EA/G4HMG also Pertti 5/9 . John G3OKT 5/6, Franz DK1II only 3/2 here.

Greetings Bill, Here is an extract of my log: 07:35z VK4ZD, Bill, from Lockyer Waters. 43 and quickly lost. Got 53 at initial contact. 07:53z VK3KCD, Peter. 33 here. Heavy rains and more expected, but Peter OK. Quickly lost. 08:32z ZL1RD, Rob. 54. Got 52. Good connection until Rob had to go QRT. 08:35z OH6SM, Martti, 58 here. Martti then had a Q5-contact with Bill (4ZD). 08:40z JM2HBO, Terusan. 56-57 here. Got 59 from
08:41z EA7GSU, Pertti. 58. ANZO stations were now starting to be heard on second peak. 08:45z VK4ZD, Bill. 55 on second peak and increasing. Got 55 initially. 08:50z VK3KCD, Peter. Now 44 (Q5 for people without a hearing loss). 09:10z Net closed. Other stations active on the ANZO net this Sunday, but not worked from here: ZL1BFS, Doug - IZ8ISZ, Antonino (worked by Pertti) - EA/G4HMG, John - PA3AHC, Malcolm – G4YZE, Bill. Jim reporting very bad snowstorms, leaking roofs, schools closing. But temp up to zero today !
Even Dave WN5V had it cold, down to minus 3c in south Louisiana !.
Mike in Kentucky must have been in the cold also but I could not read him well.
Klaus was only 3/4 here so I could not get a relay via his big Trans-At.signal.
Ken W8SOO in the very North of Michigan had it " very mild". Temp up to zero and snow mostly gone.
We missed Pertti. He had to fix a leaking chimney.

Dear Bill:W1QUO Jim was an early check-in and visited with Jack for a while before net time, Jim also brought in Pertii EA7GSU from Spain. Glad you could here me Pertti. My power was 800 PEP to the yagi . Joe AF1E was net control and he worked Pertti. W0TBC Joe reported the St Croix River was frozen. KA0ZUX/AG Jay a new ham and a guest from North Dakota, W8SOO Ken, Sault Ste Marie, MI. Helped me, the official relay with some of the stations I did not hear such as W2LGF Ruben in California and a QRP guest station AC6JA Mike from California . VE9BEL Bernard Le Bel, Edmunston New Brunswick, Canada joined us. Perhaps as a member but if not a guest .
