0800z - 0900z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path.
"Greetings Bill
During Saturday a big sunspot materialized in the sun's northern hemisphere and this Sunday's ANZO net was quite different from the thin net we had one week ago.
With better conditions, hopefully more stations will turn out.
08:06z OH6SM, Martti, 59 both ways. Martti worked ZL and VK short pass with great success. Clearly better than long pass.
08:07z VK2GWK, Henk. 56 when working long pass, increasing to 59. Short pass from here is in every respect an uphill battle.
08:10z ZL1RD, Rob. 57, got 55-56. Signals kept improving and Rob was 59 here when closing down for the night.
08:13z VK3KCD, Peter. 54 here. Got 54 - 56. Our first Q5 contact for a long time. Peter reported 22 - 25 deg. and no bush fires.
08:18z VK4ZD, Bill, from Lockyer Waters. 54 - 56 here, peaking at 58. Got 56 for a start.

08:26z ZL1BFS, Doug. 44 here. Got 55. Doug also worked Bill (YZE) and Pertti.
09:15z QRT

Services of remembrance and thanks for the assistance given by Rotary and others.
