Good morning Bill
The ANZO 7115 KHz net took place at its new time of 0600z. Propagation was reasonable spoilt by contest QRM. Present were Noel VK2IWT, Bill VK4ZD, Peter VK3FPSR , Rob ZL1RD and myself. Next week will be a better test of the new time with hopefully less QRM

Many thanks to Klaus for this report- received at the second attempt :_
Operating on 14293 during the CQ WW DX Contest was not easy but the strong signals from our ZL and VK friends and the goodwill of some of the contest stations helped a lot. The unspeakable hour for this net may also have worked to our advantage. There was a marked increase in the QRM over time:-
06:32z ZL1RD, Rob, 55 and quickly 59. Got 57 and later 59+10. VKs were not readable at this point.
06:42z VK4ZD, Bill. Quickly at 59. Bill had to drive 1½ hrs to fetch exchange student. Early QRT.
06:48z VK3KCD, Peter. 54 jumping to 58-59. Got 59. Peter stayed and was last ANZO station to quit.
06:49z ZL1BFS, Doug. 56 – 57 when in the clear. Got 56. Doug got 54 from Bill (ZD).
07:03z EA/G4HMG, John. 11, but Bill (ZD) heard John and they had a chat. Later John was 59 here.
07:15z OH6SM, Martti, 58. Got only Q4 until I swung beam north. Martti gave Peter 56. Got 57-59.
07:29z G4YZE, Bill. 45 here. The QRM was now substantial.
07:35z EA7GSU, Pertti, 59. Got 59+10. Pertti had been contesting on
07:42z Went QRT
The International Net was a different story. GM5X was operating with a 59+20 signal on 14292.60 and several other very strong stations were close. In between transmissions I heard Jim, W1QUO, with a good signal and of course Bill in

Many thanks to Jim W1QUO for this report :-
We did a wonderful job on resetting our clocks 31, Oct., but a contest ruined everything. Heard G4yze's call sign once, part of HB9CQS and a couple of beeps from EA7GSU.
Hoping next week will be better. 73 Jim W1QUO
And to Pertti for this report:-
As anticipated the CQWW contest made it impossible to communicate, but
in between the brakes I identified Jim, W1QUO and Mike, N4PF and had a
few words with Bill, G4YZE and Klaus, HB9CQS.
We try again next Sunday!!
